  1. Here is the bad news, if you assume that the club give Pardew a blank slate at the start if every season, the last few games have added a completely different slant to it all. I could see the following being the clubs thoughts: Only three defeats - one against the league winners, at Southampton whom have traditionally thrashed northern teams at home (even Man U), and a Monday night in Stoke. Three home draws we should expect to win, although against Villa it was our first home match and it isn't unusual for any club to have a goalless draw at the start of the season. Palace, we were unlucky to concede in the last minute. Hull, the club did well to come back from 2 down amidst all the adversity. Drawing with Swansea away could in isolation be seen as a good result. And then we have two wins. So although I completely disagree with the above perception, I'm sure the club board could argue that form is average and improving, and our biggest issue was failure to turn draws at home to wins so far, which isn't a huge crime after just a few games. Pardew is going nowhere, unless he does or says something stupid.
  2. IMO if we lose now we are down regardless of managerial change. So despite wishing defeat for the past month going to hope for a lucky win that does nothing to alleviate the pressure.
  3. To be honest we don't need players to be Geordie to become thorough black and white. Countless players have come to the club, some for the playing opportunity, some for the challenge, and some because we offered the most money. But once they have arrived here they fall in love with the club and become proper black and white in my eyes. Keegan, McDermott, Quinn, Dabizas, Solano, Ketsbaia are all proper black and white today. In fact that is probably something else that is wrong with Pardew as he has never been able to tap into this and make the current crop of players 'get' the club like the past generations have.
  4. I think the club crest that he is trying to get is the potentially most valuable thing to him. He underwrites the loan, he gets the club crest, gambles that rangers will repay the loan. He then has royalties for any merchandise bearing the rangers logo. I'd imagine that those royalties are worth a lot over several years.
  5. If all results stay the same and man city win I get £160
  6. Regardless he still said it. I think he needs to wipe this wank stains Off that trophy before he can think of shining it!
  7. Was Pardew manager when we sold Fraser Forster?
  8. Defo can't have Santon in there he is very much an ever present when there aren't fitness issues.
  9. When Hughton got sacked it wasn't an instant action in that there came a point where Ashley went to Pardew behind Hughton's back. Trying to be optimistic, the same could be happening again, although I'm not a big fan of that approach as many managers worth anything would not go behind another fellow pros back. Suspect Ashley considers Keegan resigning and difficulty in finding a replacement as a reason for the last relegation.
  10. His performance yesterday wasn't ability, it was the revolutionary concept of having a right footed right winger staying on the right, in front of a right footed right full back getting to the byline and getting the ball into the box.
  11. Obertan was probably the best player last night, which says it all really. To be honest I didn't work out all game where Gouffran, Cabella and Sissoko were meant to be playing there we're times when they were all on the left leaving Janmaat on his own in the right. Just having a right winger sticking to the right hand side opened things up for us a little, even a player of Obertan's ability.
  12. If Cisse plays, with him supposedly in form and looking good in training it might instil done confidence in some of his team mates and results may uplift a little over next few weeks, which would lose the momentum of feeling against Pardew somewhat, unfortunately. With the match on Sky hard to see what Stoke and Newcastle teams will turn up, the very best, or the very worst...

    John Carver

Now is probably a good time to revisit the story behind his appointment. Pardew offered the job to several people who all turned him down. Carver was then appointed on the back of a campaign by the fans and the Chronicle.
  14. Aye Roeder is decent would be a good candidate for a DOF post here.

    SackPardew.com

Whilst I am supportive if the Sack Pardew website they aren't without fault, for three reasons. Lack of transparency with donations. It is giving people a stick to beat them with. Linking the donations to the SBR Foundation, who have released a statement to say they aren't happy being associated with such a campaign. The sack Pardew cards and their colour scheme. Should have avoided any links with Ashley tbh and made it all about Pardew. Ashley's reaction may now be more unpredictable.
  19. Sorry my bad got confused by the De Jongs
  20. What is worrying as that at the time it was being said that Jonas training performances had dropped hence Pardew decided to get rid. Very much a fitness thing. Cancer would have knocked a chunk out if his fitness
  21. Nope he found out he had cancer in October. He had a testicle removed. He returned to the club and was told by Pardew to find another club. He went to Norwich on loan. Then complained to press about manager's treatment of him. Towards end of time with Norwich he found it had spread to his kidneys. Over summer club stripped him of his squad number.
  22. This story has to get into the nationals.
  23. This is an all time low. How can the players stand for this? How can his mate Colo stand for this??? No wonder the players aren't playing for this club anymore.
  24. Want to punch Pardew in the face right now. Close to tears over this.
  25. If we were to have a player manager on an interim basis I would go for Ryan Taylor.
