What the Fucking hell...

It has to be done. Perhaps the initial information was too complicated for some disability groups and therefore easy to misinterpret Could have been wiser to send an initial letter out stating the plans, bebefore bombarding people with more complex documents.

Forgot a player. Debuchy. Good offensively. Weak defensively. Holds position poorly. Sounds like he has higher opinions of Haidara.
-
Was a scout for Jim Smith, Bobby Robson, Roeder. Bernard, Nzogbia, Srnicek

Ex scout Paul Montgomery has been through most of the recent Newcastle signings with John Gibson in a Chronicle interview. Here are his thoughts: Marveaux - most talented of the bunch, but very injury prone. Haidara - a real gem, tried signing him for Villa. Sissoko - only a good player. Poor end product. There is a reason why no one else signed him. Cisse - great striker, in the right team. Can only play up front on his own. Newcastl. Central midfield not good enough for him, he would bang them in for Spurs. Ben Arfa - huge talent. Needs a free role. Had the chance to sign him for half a million but Roeder turned him down. Cabaye - great player in France. Not mobile enough for the Premier league. Completely unsuitable player to play in a central midfield behind Cisse. Thoughts?

If i suddenly became a billionaire and decided to buy the club I would have a chat with Keegan and if we could agree on how things should be he would be manager right away.

Isn't he from Manchester? Salford. Salford is a city too you know. See Salford and Manchester as Siamese twins. Only Manchester has the brains, the heart, the lungs, the kidneys, and the liver.

These disallowed goals are a bit of a red herring as they are just something that is expected off that type of player. You just have to accept that a certain number of goals will be given offside (correctly or not) and then expect goals to be scored on top of that.

Last season we were unbeaten until November with a 442 with Obertan on the right wing and Ryan Taylor at left back, Leon Best up front.
-
We played our best football under Pardew with a 442 and don't let anyone tell you otherwise. Things worked well with 433 in an attacking sense but this was eventually found out defensively. That does still work well in some games though. 4231 and 451 have never worked well at this club and never will unless we have the right personnel, which we don't. Playing such systems just indicates us as a bottom half club.

Ok my second journey will be back to 1996, I'm taking Romaine Amalfitano with me and coming back with Les Ferdinand. The club has just peaked in 1996 and still have Shearer, Asprilla and Beardsley. Ferdinand has some good few years left and can bea focal point for our current attack.

I haven't worked out my other swaps yet, but swap number one would be to take Jonas back to 2004 and bring back Laurent Robert. At this point Roberts career was about to go downhill due to being forced out by Souness, but a few good years would have been left in him had he stayed. Jonas wouldn't have ripped out trees back then, but I don't think the club would be any worse or better with him during that period.

Let's face it, there isn't really much going on at the club at the moment, so if there was ever a time to debate Shitabout Newcastle United and the space time continuum then this is it. So here is the premise: Mike Ashley has splashed this summer's transfer budget on a time machine. The plan is that the club are going to go back in time and bring back previous Newcastle players. However there are rules. There is only enough fuel for three trips there and back. Only you and one other person can go in the time machine. To bring a Newcastle player back from the past, you must leave an existing player behind. You can only travel to the past, and you can only deal with Newcastle players. You can not do anything to interfere with managers or owners. Also you must bear in mind that the players you swap will affect what happened in the past, so for example if you swap Shearer for Shola, you'd come back to find the club not looking so good. So what will you do?

Interesting comments from Laudrup via his agent today. He doesn't want to be at a club like Newcastle. A club, implied to be us has offered Canas of Betis a double salary contract but he'd rather play for Laudrup for less money.

Good post but its highly unlikely that A) Pardew will be sacked and that B) Ashley and co will have heard of any of them never mind actually look to appoint any of them. Its either Pardew or someone of his ilk, i.e. cheap, out of a job, British and a bit of a yes man. The powers that be have no real ambition for NUFC because ambition requires significant investment and risk taking. They have even stated publicly that a top 10 finish is a target and anything else over and above a bonus. That's the way things will always be under Ashley. We may finish 5th once or twice or qualify for Europe the odd time but that will be the bonus aspect rather than the real target of the club. Thankfully, Ashley is on an exit trajectory. Although that could take another 10 years to materialise... So basically a similar shortlist to the one Spurs had when they appointed Christian Gross and Jacques Santini. Whilst I cannot deny quality, people should not be denying the risk involved when the manager we have already got is not that bad. The grass is not always greener.
-
I say give him longer, mostly because he is the closest any manager got to being a good manager for us over the past 8 years. He is a damn lot better than Souness, Roeder, Allardyce, Keegan (MkII), Kinnear, Shearer, and a little bit better than Hughton. Who are these alternatives? Other PL managers that haven't amounted to anything? The next Jacques Santini? Or someone altogether unproven? It has been a bad season, but the grass isn't always greener.

Cometh the hour, cometh the new Messiah himself. David Beckham.
-
Might be a Giggs, but assuming Wigan go down, he would start the season as the 3rd longest serving manager in the league.
-
We need a new right back. Maybe he'll come good as a second choice winger but as a defender he is incompetent.
-
Basically they've picked out the two quiet lads who especially Cisse are top pros who play for the football. Meanwhile that cunt captain Cabaye is completely silent.

I was hoping this would be the day those blood bags being looked after by a former Barcelona freelance was going to be Dna checked.

You should all get your mums to call the radio with questions like "are you still liking living in Newcastle" then when the radio puts you through take the phone and ask one of these questions, as it is the only way these will be fielded.
-
No, but I dislike the way two people didn't remember the situation but assumed the worst and smugly laughed at it. As usual. Anyway, I should stay away from this place at the moment because no other views are welcome. I know this but I keep getting sucked back in. Apologies. Don't worry dude, some are still listening, even though it is hard to not be drawn in by the general consensus. I'm very much on the undecided fence on Pardew's future here, I can see what he's doing wrong but do think there are opportunities to improve also. We need to stay up at all costs first though.

Andreas Why Aye Man? Is he related to that Swedish striker called Andreas Fuck Off Man that nufc signed in 1998 ? That is Towelie's sister.

I think Hughton was being respectful rather than being fearful, and ultimately it worked.
