  1. Had a real howler today apparently.
  2. I love it how most clubs upgrade and are still yet decades behind Newcastle United in terms of infrastructure.
  3. Partying it up in Ibiza for a week getting my way with the beautiful ladies if you must know. For what its worth, i for one hope Jol stays. Still full of desperate slags then? Jenas, Robinson and Defoe are all still at Spurs I believe, so yes.
  4. He does say though that he needs to sort out a new contract if that is to happen. He is pretty well paid, so it would need to be a rolling contract if he is to stay in my opinion, but I wouldn't even negotiate until we approach the end of the season given his age.
  5. Player unnamed as of yet has died in a car crash. QPR's game against Burnley is postponed. RIP
  6. The new board have spent £133 million to buy the club, £30 million to service our debt, £5.8m on Barton, £2.9m on Rozehnal, £6m on Smith, £4.2m on Enrique plus if reports are correct, a £2m signing on fee for Geremi. In return, they received £14m from Parker and Dyer. Thus, they have invested about £184 million in the club in a matter of months, making a turnover of less than £20 million in that time. That is ignoring the increase in what was previously a burdening wage bill, and also ignoring ticket deals or price cuts within the stadium that the club seem to be promoting. We can't really expect anything morethis month, although anything we do get would be a very welcome bonus.
  7. Fraid so. Was that an illegal clip like? The equivalent of someone posting a Newcastle World Video.
  8. That is the worst Newcastle kit I have ever seen.

    Up top in a 4-4-2?

I had just come on here solely to say that Smith is the best foil for Owen out of all our strikers, assuming he adopted a similar role for us. It merely depends on whether you think he should play. I think so, as when fit, he is a proven consistent scorer, and was unlucky tonight against one of the best international centre back pairings around.
  10. Can't see a reason why two-time legendary Tottenham Hotspur striker Jurgen Klinnsman would want to manage Spurs either.
  11. United Front is again a bit fascist.
  12. I've formed a new singing group. It is called Taylor27's Zany Brigade, and will be in attendance at one or two away fixtures this season.
  13. I enjoyed Cacapa's debut. I like the way he no-nonsensely powered that speculative ball out for a throw in with his head. The ball must have gone 35 yards without touching the ground. Hope he can do that regularly, because one past problem at Newcastle has been the inability to clear the ball completely out of danger.
  14. Hang on, didn't Spurs have a long term plan to bring one of the most talented young managers in the lower league to the club's academy, with the long term aim of bringing him through the ranks to eventually take over from Jol. Alex Inglethorpe's Premier League management career is about to begin.
  15. I know of a brilliant caretaker who would certainly make Martin Jol lots of money. Glenn Roeder.
  16. From the sounds of things, Spurs hired an unofficial go between, such that they could deny all knowledge if it came out. If true however, Jol could probably resign AND get severance pay.

  18. BBC breaking news has Ramos saying that he has rejected a 'dizzying' offer from Spurs.
  19. This topic has been moved to Chat. [iurl]http://www.newcastle-online.com/nufcforum/index.php?topic=44463.0[/iurl]
  20. I suppose cyanide could be smeared all over the grass. That would work, but we'd need more substitute goalkeepers.
  21. Radical eh? but yes indirect free kicks, with the offending player receiving a yellow card. Also had radical thoughts on how to punish teams that have loads of yellow cards, and might make refs think twice about booking players for innocuous challenges. If a player gets a yellow card he has to leave the pitch, say 20 minutes from the end of the match, i.e he is withdrawn after 70 minutes and takes no further part in the match. He cannot be replaced by a sub. Any player getting booked after 70 has to leave the pitch immediately. Would have made the Liverpool v Chelsea game interesting as 9 players were booked in that game! Have you ever watched, played or followed football? And I'm talking about soccer football, the game David Beckham, Juan Pablo Angel and Abel Xavier play. David is married to a woman called Victoria Beckham aka Victoria Adams aka Posh aka Posh Spice if that helps. They are friends of Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes if that helps as well.
  22. If we signed Savage and Diop, we could form a midfield three of Smith, Savage, Diop, otherwise known as the lion, the witch and the wardrobe.
