I stopped renewing after Souness' first season. In fact, I'm amazed anyone continued given that indicator of our club's direction. The football was shit, the players were useless, over-hyped rubbish, and the atmosphere was fucking terrible apart from about 3 matches all in the cup.

So Carr is good enough? No, he is not. But he is not as bad as you lot say he is. I would be very happy to have Carr as our back-up RB after Luke Young. Luke Young is piss, tbh.

I don't think he's as shit as some make out, and he's actually had matches where's he's been very good for us--but they've been few and far between. Taylor's at least as good defensively, quicker, and better in the air. Not much of a crosser but much better getting forward and supporting the attack in general.

More chance of me scoring for the Toon if he continues playing like he has so far this season. Sibierski's been a far better purchase for about a tenth the price.

Keep: he's been decent this season--even if his final ball is often lacking, his workrate's been exceptional and his head hasn't dropped once. Don't forget that he's still very young. He's been a damn sight better than Zoggy, an aal.

Just seen the highlights. Looked like Harper made some decent saves throughout the match, but our marking from free-kicks is atrocious. Chuffed that Parker scored, and don't give a fuck that he didn't take a pen. You can only pick your best penalty-takers at the end of the day; maybe he's shit at them.

Agreed. Good on Parker for telling the fickle bastards to fuck off, if he did say that. That's not the point. The point is that some fans expect to be able to give players as much shit as they like because they're pissed off without getting any comeback and as soon as a player turns round and says, 'Fuck off, I'm pissed off too' he gets vilified for it. The last thing we need is to get on the backs of our own players, especially those players who actually give a fuck.

Great result. Performance was decent, although we did invite pressure. Would've liked to have seen Sibbers on earlier as Luque can't hold a ball up for toffee. MOM: Krul, obviously. Butt decent in first half. Milner worked hard and actually put in a good final ball which is a new one. Thought Luque overall was pretty poor, tbh.
