  1. Maybe we're unveiling our signings in ascending order. We started with the crappest and we'll finish with Ronaldinho.
  2. It's not just West Ham. Look at Spurs: they've kicked our arse off the pitch in the last two seasons. They've got an excellent management structure in place and a transfer policy that seems to be reaping rewards. Their squad looks very good. I'l not even bother mentioning Liverpool.

    Mark Viduka

The way we're piling crosses into the box at the minute, I can't really think of a better alternative for the price. Yes, he is a fat, Aussie bastard but he know where the net is.
  4. I don't understand, I can't possibly comprehend, how Souness' statement about now having a 'proper' left-sided player matches up to Luque. Did he actually see this lad play? If he thought Robert was half-arsed then what did he see in this idiot? He's even less motivated and has, from what we've seen so far, about a tenth of his quality.
  5. OK. The main difference between Robert and Luque: Robert wasn't utterly shite. He could change a game in the blink of an eye; the only way Luque changes a game when he comes on is by making us EVEN WORSE!
  6. Sorry, lads, but I can't really see the similarity with Robert. Once Robert was on the ball you got excited, he could make things happen and put in great crosses from anywhere down the line. He was petulant and arrogant. Luque's just timid and you don't really care whether he's on the pitch or not. Robert had moments of absolute genius.
  7. I remember one where he let the ball drop over his shoulder and couldn't bring it down. But it'd be harsh to criticise that. He general touch on the ball was excellent, imo.
  8. Mate, you're deluded. Milner looked good because he had a good game! You think forwards just hang around the box waiting for the ball? Is that what Bellamy does? Is that what Owen does? Milner didn't play as a winger yesterday, he patrolled everywhere in the final third making things happen. That's what a second striker does. And for a player who wasn't in the box, he seemed to be in the box for the best chance in the match when he shot wide from a Duff pull-back: a move that was the result of good movement in the area and not fucking pouting while hiding behind a defender or two.
  9. Like you say, if we reversed the roles and had Luque doing Milner's job I still don't think he would've done anything. You could see Milner's enthusiasm, his touch was excellent, he ran his socks off and his movement was very good. He put the ball in the back of the net (although offside) and hit the bar. Luque's done nowt to suggest he can do any of those things.
  10. This is precisely it. I know he's not a striker and all that but you reckon he must've felt a bloody plum standing in the box for 90 minutes doing sod all. Everyone else was involved and looking for the ball. Milner was looking for the ball EVERY time. His movement was ten times that of Luque.
  11. I've watched the entire bloody thing again and my opinion's the same: Duff was great and Luque was pap. If anything, it seems Luque was hiding at times. Duff was absolutely everywhere and if anything probably wasn't selfish enough.
  12. Duff must've put in about 12 crosses by himself. Off the top of my head, I also remember a drag-back to Milner which should've been a goal. He put a ball on a fucking plate for Luque who botched what should've been a certain goal.

    Same old Sunderland

Have you seen his "Shearer it's over now" video? Features that picture of him getting belted by the ball. Pity it's Andy O'Brien. That's the worst video I've ever seen. Like being forced to watch a slideshow put together by your slow cousin.

Anyone putting a bet on them getting relegated again?

    Save our Shola!

So why do you hang around then? To set myself new targets and goals in the world of being a WUM. Not to improve the quality of discussion, then.

    Save our Shola!

Aye, I hate these cunts who come on and try to give us their opinions.

  19. I'm glad this thread has reopened so I can go back to ignoring it.
  20. Born and raised--mostly--in Wallsend. Then fecked off somewhere nicer sharpish. Now in Tynemouth. Geet classy as fuck.
  21. Well, at least you keep a smile on your face.
  22. How come you've missed an entire continent off your options? That's 3/4 billion people dissed. Incidentally, I wonder how many Africans we get here?
  23. If brann can't manage to beat Ã…tvidaberg in the away game they should be embarrased cause that team is a div1 team in the swedish leauge and are right now in 12th pos out of 16 teams there (13-14 gets to qualify to try and hang on) My short story of how i became a nufc supporter is that i was brought up this way, and so was my old man to. And you guys can be damn sure if i ever gets any kids im gonna do the same with them. I mean if im gonna be tortured like this every season so should they ey? Too right. Kids have it too easy nowadays, anyway.
