He’s not a fucking 10. He is a technical stiker who’s still massively a development project to us who needs to improve his movement and killer instinct. He has played very little first team football but we paid huge sum for him so we need him to perform for us when chances come his way. (Right or wrong) and he is a good lad who likely will tell the press the same thing. all that being said he’s done brilliantly for us in all comps to get us where we are.

yup. Was driving home from work today and thinking that surely he would look back and think he should have stayed. Gotten maybe 25% less but we’d be top 3. In the knockouts already in the CL. Beaten city today. And Villa would be scared of us in the cup game. Many of us here felt with Isak of last season and us building with him we could maybe make our title push. Really hits home man.

Mad to me a 6 foot 6 keeper has timing issues coming out for crosses. He can jump up and list his long arms straight up. Should never be getting beat by anyone.

Think Howe mentioned the other day that Barnes doesn’t mind the right becuase he’s offered a bit more freedom to improvise and tuck in. Think Barnes is smart and self aware enough to know that if he’s on the pitch and putting his shift in he’ll be given the license to make things happen.
