Gah man, i love how we play right now - abs oozing confidence all over.
-
I love when we play this way man.
-
i dont even really care about a new stadium, i love St James Park.
-
fee seems cheap but buyback and sell on fee if he doesn't come back to us would be fine with me. I actually really like him and his sub performances prior to him getting hurt were really class.
-
I think the player pre-injury was better than the one we are seeing today and I'm in agreement with you. Now if he wants to extend and he's on wages commensurate with his playing time/level then I'm good with it.

Burn has been a better CB than Botman for 2 seasons now.

Having a completely different style of striker to what we have had in a while is going to be great too. Yes, he makes runs past the last defender but he's also one of those throwback strikers who has really great box instincts and will attack loose balls in the box. Love that about him. I know many have watched compilations or his footie over the last several years but a good little read: https://breakingthelines.com/player-analysis/yoane-wissa-atypical-uncoventional-and-resilient/

Hall is such a better defender too.

Only issue with ashworth was getting his head turned by Man United. He’d have still been here otherwise.
-
This is def the time to sell him but damn it I do love JW. Want him to be successful and enjoying his game.

Had tino not gotten hurt (and Hall) I reckon we beat Arsenal (or draw) and don’t lose all of those away games. Win at least two of them. At least 6 or 7 points better. Which is top 4. Yes yes you can’t look at football that way but it’s truly night and day difference when we have our two star fullbacks playing. ignoring the howlers from pope too, we were in the bloody lead in all of those matches too!
-
He’s making mixed runs all game and it’s a handful. Unreal potential.
-
The beauty of Bruno in the team is that rotation. I truly think Tonali should replace Joelinton in the team and we’ll have our best midfield 3.
-
Be great if he was a sneaky start on Saturday v Burnley
-
My guess is it takes him a while to get his sharpness going and that’s a main reason why Howe is very carful with him.
-
starting to warm to the idea that a chance like that > what pope may or may not do on a throw in.
-
He doesn’t need to be a defensive mid, he just needs to be ready and available to receive from the back line and GK, calm things down or speed up to get us up the pitch and cover for those making runs up + be available for chances like his goal he took. He played the perfect 6 role in Eddie’s system.
-
Don’t want anyone else coaching him.
-
helps his partners are Schar, Burn and Botman as well. Excellent in their own ways and know the system.
-
Not good enough? Fuck out of here.
-
As bad as this sounds - fun cup runs, maybe another cup final if we’re lucky and finishing 7-9th place would be fine with me. Trusting we now have proper executives in place to continue on the right path.
-
if you’re not confident to hit that with the goal open then fkn pass to the guy who is bang on form.
-
A chance to put us up 2-0. Overruns the ball or doesn’t have confidence to ready himself or take it with his left. Stands and waits a few seconds, doesn’t square it to Barnes who’s screaming for it. GK is way off his line. Decides to not take the defender on, a tame shot that is easily blocked. He gets it back waits a few seconds and passes it further back and ref blows whistle. honestly shocking stuff.

The current green kit is awful and that shade of it can go into the bin forever. Green kits with green pitches never seemed to jive with me
