Really just disappointed with him this season. Alex left and he was seemingly supposed to be taking that next step forward in responsibility and maturity. That may be fine off the pitch but on it he’s gotta show up and be a key player. Hes certainly paid as one and when fit seems to get into the team immediately. Desperate for him to succeed here but today he led the line in the CL for us away from home and had a fucking perfect chance to show all the reasons why he should be our talisman. Failed us.

Today’s performance broke me with him and I was teetering. For all that talk this summer he has absolutely let his club, the fans, his teammates and his manager down. I do not care if he was out of position, effort matters and his lack of it at times is inexcusable and his application at basics like shooting a ball at goal are completely non existent.
