  1. I think his stock wouldn't fall - I think the press and his agents would make a mockery of our defense and our squad and make Shay look like he was always too good for us. He can go, my initial remorse has already left me. You dont want to play for this club, then please leave and find someone who will pay for your salary. Footballers seriously make me sick sometimes.
  2. Anyone willing to post one of those memorable photos for a good chuckle?
  3. Nolan and Veloso would be excellent. With Ryan Taylor and Jonas on the flanks, we'd have ourselves a midfield who could play football. Wishful thinking though - would love to grab either Veloso or Donadel to add some depth and push Geremi and Butt from our starting 11.
  4. He's capable of putting a cross in, play both RB and on the wing...and can put in better set peices. This would be excellent business, I always thought if our reserves/youngsters weren't good enough, we should be beefing our squad up with players like Taylor who can do the business when called up on and add depth. But everytime that was thought about, someone on the board would say "No better than what we have." Which I recall was used about a million times with some of the players wed love to get rid.
  5. I bet when Insomnia heard the "insult" he made that stupid blank stare with his mouth open that he does in every picture you guys post of him out on the tyne....that befuddled, confused and idiotic facial expression. Its a camera Insomnia, it's not insulting you.
  6. I think im going to change his name in PES to N'Somnia. What a waste of talent Chucky boy
  7. I'm sorry - am I the only one who can watch that interview and that "Insomnia" part and laugh histarically everytime. The man fuddled a name, who gives a rats ar*e? I've fuddled people's names I've known my whole life and nobody takes it seriosuly. Who care? I guess Insomnia does, cry-baby. Professional footballer gets paid money to play the sport and he feels insulted and should never play. Oh cry me a f**king river. People on this board probably have had the sh*te taken out of them at their workplaces, and we got on with our job. Footballers are such primadonnas.
  8. he's not one to go missing in a match or cour from a challenge. he's got fight and leadership about him.
  9. I always liked him, thought he was a solid midfielder who can pass the ball, win some headers, and put the ball in the back of the net from midfield.
  10. at least he can pass the ball to his teammates. Better than Butt and 1/2 of our starting lineup tbh.
  11. Got to pay for his wife's plastic, yoga and everything else she does to look as fit as she does....
  12. I agree with most of that, I thought that he was about as good as we could get at the time. It's a pity that he turned out to be s***, Derby away is his epitaph. The man was a very poor manager while here and he only has himself to blame for that, he was way out of his depth. i'm going to give you some credit and show that I agree with you for a change here.......he was indeed a poor manager while he was here, but I don't know what you mean by it being his own fault. He complained - at the time - about the level of support inside the club. Its OK saying he should have had more time, maybe he should, but personally I'm going to say that because he was losing the plot and the fans, Ashley made the decision that had to be made for better or worse because there is no way of knowing how it is going to work out. Especially when his replacement was appointed. Mike Ashley showed through his treatment of Keegan, or maybe it was his flawed knowledge of football, that he was the wrong man for us or any club of our size by not understanding how to be successful, and not looking like he was prepared to learn, or allow his own appointment to show him the ropes and trust him. What could have been the making of this club, and getting us back up where Keegan mark 1 and Bobby Robson put us, and doing brilliantly by enticing Keegan back by whatever it took to do it, is lost. He loses, we lose, Keegan loses, the players lose, everybody. And that is all MIKE ASHLEY'S fault , compounded by the fact that it would appear he undoubtedly had a chance to think again and didn't take it. After all the demonstrations, and the turning against him, his stance is now obvious. He isn't going to change, and for that reason, he's got no complaints and it remains his own fault. Well said, and agree completely.
  13. N'Sonia.....N'Zogba.....err Charlie That was absolutely f.....g hilarious. indeed it was!! hah.......... god i hate jfk
  14. open the checkbook or get the f**k out. This is just plain embaressing now.
  15. Mickey Owen. How he can justify himself as a top drawer player for being the softest f***king striker is beyond me. I havent been this depressed about the Toon in ages, I can't even try and positive anymore. This freefall looks like it will never end.
  16. Best post you've had in a long time mate, you got me all riled up and ready for the match.
  17. Shay to play tomorrow and will allow Alan Smith's shot to go through his legs in the 90th minute to give us the 3 points.
  18. Wish it was $7M + Elano- I don't want to lose Given, hes top-class. But I guess people are right, if we can take that money, reinvest and hopefully build from it. Okay then I guess. We swap Given for Elano & Johnson and I'd be chuffed. NEVER EVER going to happen mind you.
  19. All these youngster signings would have been mint and had us jumping for joy during the Sir Bobby days...a team flying high and scouting and bringing in all this young talent... FIRST TEAMERS PLEASE.
  20. Fat Fred > Ashley any day. I'd take Fat Fred buying back the club with a consortium any day of the f'ng week. I'll prob be roasted and hung for sayign that, and I will always be happy that Ashley came in and sorted out the debt at the time and kept us "solvent" but fact of the matter is...Fat Fred cared
