  1. Butt is way off the pace. By the way, is Jonas allergic to crossing?

    Duff vs Dyer

Comparing both when they were fit playing for Newcastle there is no question for me, Dyer when fit was 10 times the player that Duff is now. BUT, he was never fit, so in essence, both were as much use as a chocolate fireguard for us!
  3. Bassong hardly qualifies as strenght in depth, young, inexperienced defender who has had a couple of games at LB for us - can see why Kinnear went for Cacapa but shocking that that was the choice. Is Nicky Butt playing by the way?
  4. Well I'm glad our strenght in depth at centre half is working well for us! Comedy!
  5. Fulham are doing a great job of pressing but we need more from our midfield and when the ball does go up, we aint keeping posession very well
  6. I wish Duff was the Duff of old, gets the ball now and invariably nowt happens

    Graham f*cking Poll

I used to dread him refereeing our games, always looking to get his face on the tv, not sure if he had something personal against us but he always looked to be controversial. T*sser!
  8. I've heard it all now, Owen out, Shola in! Ha ha
  9. We aren't a very good passing side are we? Oh well, clean sheet is a positive
  10. To be fair, we are also struggling with a real lack of movement from the front two
  11. Good summary of transfer windows NJS, agree completely.
  12. Its a sad day when in November I'm worrying about other teams results and the affect it may have on us in a relegation situation.
  13. Due diligence does not take 2 to 3 years - don't be ridiculous. As someone who used to undertake due diligence for one of the big four accounting firms, I can tell you now that it is a 2-6 week job depending on the scope and information available. You can get 4 types of due diligence which will run concurrently (well should) - financial, which is the one being discussed here, commercial, helping a buyer understand the market the business is in, its position in that market, growth prospects etc, legal - checking the legal history, contracts etc and management, understanding the management team, their capabilities etc. You could also have environmental due diligence but not really applicable in this circumstance. It can be run in different ways but I would have expected that there would have been a 'dataroom' set up, probably a virtual dataroom where loads of documents will be placed, financial, legal etc which interested parties will have been able to look at - thus each party gets the same information and its a level playing field.
  14. I don't dislike the lad but think he is average and badly fades in the second half of games. He is young and if we had properly addressed the CM issue in the summer we wouldn't need to be playing him every game. Its the poorest CM pairing I've seen us have for a long time, to think in years gone by some fans slagged off the likes of Gary Speed!
  15. I thought the keeper was slow to react!

    Barton & Guthrie?

This and I'm not even that big a fan of Geremi
  17. Pale shadow of the player he was
  18. I agree with many on here that we sat back too much in the 2nd half however, I also think our front players need a kick up the arse for bolloxing so many chances, we could have had the game dead and buried in the first half if either had a brain or first touch.
  19. We got a draw at Man U while playing Given, Beye, N'Zogbia, Taylor, Coloccini, Butt, Milner, Guthrie, Gutierrez, Martins & Duff. I don't see too many injury prone players who played and got a result against the best team in the league, the manager will play a big part in how our season goes but the lack of stability since that result could play a bigger part. One result - Milner aint here now and Colo and Jonas apart - the rest of those players have been poor in my eyes since (Beye and Martins due to injury - one of my original points)
  20. Strongly disagree - West Ham lost their manager but didn't turn into a farce. Umm, they're about to be fined £30m for what happened with Tevez-Mascherano, and quite probably be forced to sell their main players. Not linked to the manager leaving so what's your point? So you don't think that's the reason Curbishley walked? Nope, he said it was to do with transfer policy and having to sell players such as Ferdinand but that's irrelevant to my point - Curbishleys departure was NOT the reason for West Ham descending into farce - yes, they may have other issues but they didn't collapse because Curbishley left. Keegan left and it shouldn't have meant we descended into the circus that we have - the reason for that is Ashley. So again, my question
