I’ve seen the ASM performance v Man City mentioned when he was outstanding but how often have we seen that from him, if Maxi could reach that level in the majority of games he would be one of the best in the league but can any of us hand on heart see him operating at that level consistently. I really hope we keep him and sign Barnes, we need a deeper squad and better options, I think Barnes output over the past few years has been good and certainly adds depth to the squad.

I thought Taylor handled the game well last night, regarding the penalty he gave in real time it looked stonewall but VAR was correct to over turn it. The surrounding of the ref was terrible and the touchline behaviour even worse officials shouldn’t have to put up with that I hope to see more cards given out like the one for Cristante, you could see Taylor count the Roma players surrounding on him tough luck on Cristante for being the one issued the card.

I know I’m biased but I can’t see how anyone can dislike Howe and the way he comes across. I think he’s spot on in his interviews and is so interesting to listen to. He is always professional and respectful, if an opposing fan said they hated him I would genuinely be surprised, I can understand why they would hate Bruno for example but with Eddie I just can’t see a reason to dislike him

I was planning on watching the game Thursday without a beer, but it’s going to be massive isn’t it. I would imagine the crowd will be bouncing for it to. We’ve bounced back from disappointing results a few times this season . I work from home on a Friday so the fridge will be stocked up.

Can’t remember the ref but i always remember the one being hounded by Man Utd players Keane and Stam yelling in his face he just kept on backing up. Like Wolf has eluded to, given “superior” positions we’ve been in the past and not managed to see it through, I think it’s a legitimate worry that we may miss out on CL football this season. we’ve been class majority of this season and we should see it through but it’s natural to be nervous about the top 4 finish.

I think given the misery we’ve endured over recent years I think we can forgive fans for being nervous.. until I hear the CL music I won’t believe ?
