Obviously it will be Chelseas fault for putting out a lesser team against us. In fact the whole league has conspired against Bolton, seems like lady luck is picking on another grumpy old school t**t. It would be a shame to see this man in charge of us, and to think he was an appealing choice when we had Souness.

Dont seem to remember playing with a bit of style and looking a decent side at any point of souness good runs though do you? Anyone could have came in and said "right we're going to use wingers" and had the same effect imo. Does it make him anything special? Methinks not. Yeah because thats all he has done. If it was easy as that why didn't Freddy take the job then. What more can the man do we have won a shit load of games lately. We have lost to the top 3 in the country and lost to a tricky charlton team in London where our record hasn't been great anyway. I said in another thread what could have Hitz or Oniell done differently in the games we have lost? Even though the guy has not convinced me fully he hasn't done too much wrong. He is not my first choice but I am not dead against his appointment.

I have stuck by Souness more than most on here but even I think it would be a good idea if he went. Even when we have put winning runs together we haven't looked convincing. Even in the West Brom game had it not been for Shay Given we could have blown that. You say he had part of last season, he missed 4 games. The only reservation I would have about letting him go, is who would we get to replace him. If we were to replace him with a Steve Bruce type then there will be no point. Yes I believe people got on his back too quickly, but those people haven't been proved wrong yet. I will eat humble pie and say I have got it wrong about Souness, he is not the man to take us forward, fit squad or not.
