http://tgr.ph/1q5M5mg Pity the fucker isn't so keen on buying players as he is with stakes in retail outlets...
-
FFS the ref would have had a good view of that.

Can you imagine if we did sign 6 or 7 first team ready players like that article suggests, this place would go into overload. I'm bracing myself for another window of utter frustration and disbelief though.
-
If it is depth we are looking at why not Bigi or Abeid. Colback is hardly inspiring and what is it going to do for Bigi's confidence.
-
I think he meant Harper and Nolan???

Pardspeak lol. Sounds like something from the sequel to 1984... 2014 a place where Mike Ashley controls the world Big Brother style. Can we trust anything this fucker says anymore. If this Numpty has any say in transfers we may pick up a couple of West Ham players or former West Ham players.

Someone mentioned earlier that if roles were reversed and Meyler headbutted Pardew the fuss wouldn't be as bad! I don't agree on that, I think, fans, media and pundits would find it totally unacceptable and worse than a player on player incident, I think people would be calling for the ban to go beyond "normal" standards.

I know Pardew is a c*** but he is our c*** at very least so glad that Gouffran was there help Pardew out in that situation.
-
I forgot about the World Cup excuse, Pardew will blame most of our problems on the World Cup. No player wants to sign before, inflated prices after, fatigue even though a handful of ours will be used, resigning Shola a "World Cup Star" will be like a new signing. FFS I hate that I love this club sometimes!

More attractive to Vinny Mac :) ?

What a horrible article, are we sure Owen didn't write that under a different name. Surely even Owen's biggest NUFC Newcastle fan could have this kind of outlook on the situation.

That thread should make the WWE Hall of Fame, it was amazing....

Could you imagine.... "Yeah Pardew is my GM, Pardew has my backing" first game in charge HBA kick the shit out of Pardew, Martin Tyler shouting what the hell, why? Hatem Why? then some heavy music hits and Laudrup walks out of the tunnel and high fives HBA, subs Shola before the game kicks off and sends HBA to whoop some ass... Oh I can dream can't i?

Although I believe if we had beaten Man Utd we would have won the title I still think the Liverpool hand did th greatest damage to player confidence. We could has battered Man Utd that day but for Schemichel sp? We outplayed them the players knew they could do it, I feel confidence dropped after the Liverpool result, I think even a point there would have seen us home, nerves beat us at Blackburn and had Liverpool not happened I feel we would have beaten Blackburn. All irrelevant I know but goes to show the belief that KK gave us, we were really contenders we really thought we could sign almost anybody, now we're asking why players like Grenier (who I know next to nothing about) would want to join us :-(
-
Could you imagine the lift in mood if KK came back. Happy Birthday....

You must have missed the petition to get a Pards statue outside the stadium

I didn't think a paragraph in an article could actually make me cry until I read that. FFS as good as those wins were/are they have been guzumped by the Sunderland games and Hull as well as others. I'm all for praise people when they do well, that includes Pardew but that doesn't make him immune to criticism.

I can't get my head around that being eight is some kind of achievement? Yes it's an improvement on last year but the season before we were in the CL shake up going into the last day of the season. In the past we've challenged for titles, CL spots, competed in the CL spots and reached cup finals, that's doing well, given the squad we have even a modest investment in the summer and now could have seen us push for a CL spot especially this season.
-
We've battled for CL spots before even the title. Yet, even though we are probably in a more stable position financially some are happy to accept 8th as being ok. Yes 8th is a massive improvement on a relegation battle and we are better off than I expected us to be last season but this is not something to celebrate, this is not an achievement, with the players we have and the resources we have this should be viewed as bare minimum. Modest investment, having a board that cared about the football and a better manager could see us challenging for the CL spots, especially this season where everyone bar the top 3 have been fairly mediocre.

The booking annoyed me, to think he got booked for that an Snodgrass had nothing for the foul on Debuchy a few moments before was very annoying.
-
No need to worry, just means more Shola time
-
How do you put that on? Never tried those sort of multiples before I just did something similar, I use Skybet, just pick the results you want and put them on your slip and then there is an option to select trebles and it does it for you. Though I fucked up, after confirming my bet I realised the Man U/Cardiff bets were HT bets could be a masterstroke could make me cry.

Can't wait for JFK's £2 million bid tomorrow and then after that is rejected a £4 million bid at 10.37 on Friday

What do you mean "within their grasp" though? They've done well so far, nobody could deny that. But would they put themselves into massive debt to go from 10th to 4th? I just think sometimes how brilliant other clubs are is massively exaggerated on here. But meh. Interesting to see if Man Utd or Chelsea manage to get Luke Shaw as well. Who talked about putting themselves in massive debt? I said in my original post that I don't want us throwing money around like nobodies business. But this season we have spent no money on transfers, there is a massive windfall from new TV money, would have it been outrageous to spend 15-20 million? I think given our expenditure last January many would have seen that as perfectly acceptable?? Again where have I exaggerated the success of Soton and Swansea, in a way the Swansea example of mine was poor because despite good investment in money terms they have struggled this season. But overall I would say both teams are ahead of themselves from when they came up, though Swansea would have hoped to push on this season but seems like Europe has crippled them this season similar what it did to us.
