We've got to go for the jugular, their confidence will be brittle, obviously they are going to start the game well up for it. Any early goal would really put them under pressure. Still nervous about this.
-
The best thing about that is, at the time he didn't want to take credit for it. He just can't help the bullshite can he?
-
I was surprised to see us at 6-1 to win tonight. Granted I'd be over the moon with a point, it will be a tough game but 6-1 seems very generous on us? I last checked the odds on Saturday. As many have pointed out their attacking fullbacks frighten the crap out of me.

Was Hoddle that bad an appointment? I remember him as doing well apart from that ill advised comment regarding next life etc??

I went to see the Phantom Meanace three times in the cinema, does that count? Oh God shoot me now......

Can't believe I haven't learned yet. I wake up, first thing I do is check this place "just in case something has happened" why do I do this to myself. Thank fuck once I get it to work I've got the Headmaster (I work in a school) going through inset with us so no access to media for a few hours. Joe will get something done in those few hours won't he. By the ways who's camping outside Greggs for the exclusive new signing in Greggs photo?

Where are we on the Mackem life cycle at the moment. I am sure the circle is getting smaller??
-
Fucking hell. If we signed Ba and Gomis and got rid of Shola one of the worse transfer windows ever would turn out to be one of the best. I know this will not happen though.
-
I don't get the booing. That cunt Suarez who's been a big cunt than Cabaye will not get booed, in fact the Liverpool fans will go out of their way to so their support. Yes I'm dissappointed the way he had handled things but booing will in no way help the situation.
-
This is JFK's game plan, waiting for Bale's transfer to spark this mythical transfer merry go round that Sky Sports keep telling me about.
-
Holy shit it says something about this transfer window when people are worried about selling Shola will leave us short. I totally agree it would be total madness to go with what we got less Shola. Complete incompetence from our Board and DoF and I will blame Pardew here, he got into bed with Ashley knowing what he was all about.

Some of the promoted sides over the last few seasons are proof enough that given the chance some of these Championship players are good enough for the Premiership, the biggest problem being price. If we went after say Lambert for example he would cost a bomb right now. Jordan Rhodes we'd probably have to spend at least £8 million to get him and he hasn't played in the Premiership. I know the Mackems got mugged but still look how much Wickham cost them, he didn't even score that many for Ipswich did he. Because of the price tag involved immediately these players are under pressure to perform. Nugent was ridiculed but I would say mainly because of his price tag.

As much as I want to laugh I find it hard given that we'll probably be suffering the same shit tomorrow. What makes it worse is that I'll be watching our horseshit. It actually frightens me how shit our not full strength team will be?

Makes a mockery of everything that comes out of Pardew's mouth. What a colossal knob jockey.
-
Debuchy has been a bit of a let down since his arrival but sell him? That's not a great idea even if we were half decent at plugging holes in our squad. He was woeful like so many others on Monday night. The only way I could advocate selling him is if he is really not interested and starts being a prick after Cabaye goes.
-
3 in, is that guy sure it's not 3 cases of Sol or something? At the moment I wouldn't trust him to do that. I would do a messi type promise if I could be arsed if we got 3 over the line by Saturday.

Confidence is a big issue but where does the buck stop with that. This is a fresh season, last season supposedly behind us so really players should be full of confidence having avoided relegation last season and looking forward to putting things right this season. The management team must take responsibility for confidence of the players. We are not going to play many better teams than Man City this season, they played well but we allowed them to play well. West Ham had a very good start last week and look an improvement on last season, they will be tough to beat, they will be looking at us and thinking they can win, this should not be happening when we are at home. St James' Park this season is a place that teams will look at and think we can get something up here. Nobody fears coming here after last season. With the players we have at our disposal we should be making it very difficult for most teams to pick up points at St James' Park I very much doubt we will. Again I think our only saving grace will be the shitness of the clubs that got promoted last season unless we make a drastic change in management and that change doesn't involve JFK in the dugout.

Could you imagine how many transfer sagas we could get involved in with a budget of £93 million. Financial Fair Play rules my ass...
-
Aye but Super Pardew wasn't in the Premiership with them though. I would love to see the lad have a chance but just get the feeling Pardew would shift MYM wide again and bring Willo in? Really hope not though.
-
I see Stan Collymore is quoting Italian media saying £93 million for Bale and Coentrao going the other way for £15 million?
-
I hope Pardew doesn't use the too young argument. Look what Ben Davies did for Swansea last season when Neil Taylor got injured. Davies has now pushed himself in front of Taylor for Swansea and Wales. I can see Pardew bringing a not fully fit Santon back or Willo.
-
To be honest I could see the reasons for it at the time. We were replacing him with a technically better player. My biggest reservation at the time would be the effect on the dressing room. In hindsight he has had a couple of good seasons for West Ham albeit one of them in the Championship. He served us well and during the bad times last season I think he could have lifted us. Have the same worries about Cabaye leaving, what effect will it have on the remaining Frenchies?
-
It is tough to take it is the last thing the squad needed to deal with. I am sure Cabaye missing did effect the other players as well. I don't think we would have been as bad with him last night? Who knows? Just read a telegraph article now it did make me lol a bit when Ashley supposedly said "which part of him do you want" and then when the Arsenal rep made it clear it was a serious bid was told to come back with a bid of at least £20 mill and negotiations can start. Looks like if Arsenal want him Ashely will win again.
-
In games like that we need a striker who can hold the ball up for us to take some pressure off us. That's what Ba could do in his pomp for us. Cisse is a goal scorer. In a good team who creates many chances and will only require him to be in the box most of the time he will do well. How many times when the ball came forward to him he lost it last night or miss controlled. I feel really sorry for the lad, he's made to look a mug mainly down to other peoples shitness.

Theres putting in a bid and there taking the p*ss bidding what they know will be thrown out. Wonder what Wenger would say if Moyes bid £15m for Wilshire on Saturday morning(or whatever day they play next) £10 million is a pisstake but not to Wenger and Arsenal. They see us making a profit and it's not as if Cabaye was in blistering form last season. Wenger is obviously starting out low. Can see us accepting £15 million which isn't a huge leap when you consider they upped their bid by £15,000,001 for Suarez Wenger would be tamping if Moyes did that but Wenger doesn't give a shit about us, and he always has been very hypocritical.
