Barton is such a non entity in that midfield. Joey - Black and White mate thats the colour we are playing in. Shocking. I know Man Utd are a good team but they are infront today from things that we could have prevented.

You would think with the amount of experience that Taylor has been picking up that he would start emerging as a strong English Centre hald, however, he hasn't developed as we had hoped he would. I think he has been at a bkig disadvantage that he hasn't had chance to play with quality defenders. Look at someone like John Terry, he was able to learn off quality like LeBoeuf and Desailly and had good full backs like Albert Ferrer and Greame Le Saux to work with. Taylor has had Carr, Bramble and Babayaro at times. I think we would see a big improvement from Taylor if he played next to a real quality player, but at the moment I would consider him Average at best.

I am from Swansea, and support Newcastle, obviously I follow the fortunes of the Swans being my home town club and have seen them more live that Newcastle, as you can imagine its a lot easier for me to get to a swans match than the Toon. However, I have supported Newcastle since Keegans 2nd year in charge the season that they won the 1st Division championship. My reason is that my mum supported Liverpool (don't know why) and she loved Keegan so I had loads of video's and loads of Liverpool video's to watch and I loved watching KK his playing style was a joy to watch, I didn't really have a team but there was a lot of talk about Keegan and Newcastle. So since the I have supported them and still do now. Not sure where that leaves me on the super fan stakes??? But I am hurting given our current position and hope to God we can improve on it sooner rather than later. I think me being a fan is as relevant as a season ticket holder from the area, however, I do not pretend to know the "full" extent of being a local fan, and there are people out there that will have stronger emotions after a game than I do. There is not much I can do about that really.

Why would he go to a so called glamour club in London and leave his comfort zone for a sizeable wage. Chances are that he is on at least what he was on at Boro. He was not forced out of Boro so he had the comfort of being in a good position to negotiate. He and his agent would need to learn a few things if he is going all the way down to London on the same money.

It was a quality goal from him on Sunday but I worry that we will only see this in flashes. I hope not! I think he is talented and if he ever gets back to his best form he is one of the best strikers in Europe but he looks so short of that at the moment. He has looked well short of average so far this season, hopefully his goal on Sunday will kick him and us on this season. Its nice that he has had a good run of games, this will only help his match sharpness, I bet the goal was a massive duck off his back. He normally goes on a goal scoring run after breaking his duck, if he does again at least we got something to look forward to. I think he will benefit from Martins playing alongside him.

I think if quality is added to our squad it will improve the players around them no end. For a minute I will live in a dream world, but if we added a top class Woodgate, Carrick and Berbatov to our team then it will make it good. Carrick next to Barton can work and this will make a fluid supply to our wings where I think we have quality in Zoggy, Duff and Milner. Owen would benefit playing next to someone like Berb and Woodgate and Faye would be immense. Obviously none of these players are realistic options but if we could add 3 similar players I think it would make a massive improvement. I would be reluctant to make wholesale changes again as we need some continuity.

Shay this season has been well below his usual high standards. We all know his kicking is shit but because he is not playing well it is even more highlighted now, I really am nervous everytime he gets the ball now. Harper IMO did little wrong to get dropped and I think he deserves his chance again. Hopefully this season is a blip for Shay, everyone goes through bad form but I think he is still a quality keeper. He has a few years left in him, keepers go on forever.

if we had the copies of Batty and Lee in midfield and Ferdy up front we would be a quality team. Reading my comment again I realise that will cost alot of money.

I want Faye back in Central Defence his is the best defender we got. I would like to see Martins upfront with Owen, Smith is not making an impact anywhere for us. At the moment the way Butt is playing I would like to see Geremi come in for him, however, I think Barton and Emre should get their chance 1st. Beye straight back in. Carr was gash today and is simply not good enough.

He said something about missing out on hi8s 1st choice targets in defence. He felt that had he been given the go-ahead then these players would have signed, not surprisingly when pressed on who these players were he refused to comment, said they were proven Premiership players though.

In our next game I would like to see Emre and Barton as CM's. It maybe a bit lightweight but even so it would be better than one of those with Butt. His time is up now, at least in the past he had a little bit of pace and used to be really strong in the tackle, now he seems powder puff.

Sundays match is a huge fixture. It would be a moral boosting win to beat the smoggies and would lift some of the gloom on Tyneside at the moment. I would have like to see new 1st teamers in but if KK thought they wern't good enough to improve the current crop then fair enough. Allardyce brought in a lot of mediocre players in and where has that got us? Faye and Beye are back for KK now that improves our defence. He has options in midfield though attack is very worrying unless Owen gets going. Whilst I'll expect more set backs this season I think there are too many really shit teams in the division for us to go down. Look at Spurs - Ramos took a while to get them going again, and they look a good team again.

I don't think we will go down especially when the African lads return, so I wouldn't like to see a panic buy now, maybe a couple of loan players to bolster the numbers. At least this way KK can asses the squad properly and target new players from now until pre-season.

I would have like to have seen Woody back but the price they are talking about is daft given his recent injury, we would be better off spending that sort of money elsewhere.

One thing in our favour it seems that Ashley has a big set of balls and will not be afraid of any challenge. What was that comment when he took over about him parking his tank on peoples lawns and not moving until he got what he wanted. I don't think we can attract the real star quality at the moment but I don't think that will stop Ashley trying for top players.

Well he is a "proper player" so theres every chance:)
