I think the 13 million euro's refer to the Parker fee we'll get from West Ham!

Would like to see him here, probably could play on either flank. Not to sure on how much he would cost but given his age it would not be that much. Good player!

One of the papers this morning say that West Ham are ready to offer Man City £1 million more than us for Joey Barton, but surely if we have gone in at the get out claus price of £5.5 million there is nothing that Man City can do to stop us talking to Barton, so why would West Ham offer more that £5.5 million, unless we have gone in below the claus price.

Even if Allardyce is thinking of this I cannot see Dyer being too happy with it, especially considering the fuss he has made in the past about playing right midfield. Going forward would not be a problem but I would't fancy his chances in defence. I would be more comfortable with a specialist right back, but I would take him there over Carr!

I am happy with this, as someone said early it is one hell of an upgrade on Sibierski. Players that are over 30 get written off way too soon these days. If Viduka can stay injury free I reckon we could get another 2 good years from him.

The best refs are the ones that you hardly know their name. Poll is just a self promoting idiot. Sure at times he has been hard done by he got the majority of decisions right throughout his career but the ones he gets wrong will obviously get highlighted, but becoming professional went to his head.

Whilst I am not his biggest critic on here 8.5 million is too good a deal to turn down. I am sure we can buy players just as effective as him for a fraction of the price. Its seems he is not happy here and alot of the fans are not on his side, it would make sense to sell him. To be honest my biggest worry about Sven would have been all the media hype that surrounds him and the fact that he and FFS are a match made in Heaven. I wouldn't have been distraught at him being manager her but glad we have got Big Sam instead. If I were a city fan I would be in two minds over this one,!

A year deal would be ideal in my opinion. Still got quality to his game.

It will causes disruption but surely its almost impossible to go into the new season without making any signings. We had a small squad anyway and let people go, plus there is a strong chance Owen will be off so we would be stuffed. But the long term picture is most important.

As Kaka said they sold Chimbinda for £6 million and Baines is probably not rated as good as him so £5 million seems reasonable, it just depends if he gets the old English Inflation added to his price.

I have seen Bale for Wales a few time and whilst he is a very good prospect I don't think he is as good as Baines at the moment. I'd be very happy getting in Baines for £5 million he is the right age, he is proven in the Premiership and he has a good head on his shoulders for 1 so young!

Tino's is quite memorable after seeing the pictures of him jetting into Newcastle in all the snow then he does that move to provide I think Ferdy with a goal. Talking about Ferdy he was pretty canny on his competitive debut 3-0 v Coventry I think?

I cannot see how he will get many games at Chelsea next season. They already have an overload of midfielders, but saying that Ballack and Lampard may move on and Makelele(Sp?) is getting on a bit. If they all stay though then I see him behind all except possibly Diarra!

Thank you Sibs you did a decent job for us. I am glad he is moving on, especially if he was after a 2 year contract.

I think we are writing him off too early. Even though his play at times has been very poor he has still had a good return on the goal front. He has been working for a season with a clueless manager so maybe we will see some progress with a decent manager. I think we should give him another season at least.

10m at most I've heard, it doesn't matter how much they have to spend anyway when Steve Bruce is the manager. Straight back down imo. 1st time around they didn't do too badly, and he had some shocking injury problems the season they got relegated. I wouldn't write them off at this stage
