Quite a few? That was a shit squad and they won the 2003. 3 players who have really made it then we have Fernandinho and Jefferson who are still pretty unkown.
-
And the best in those ages don't don't even play for the U20 as theyre in the senior squad already.

Right........ that statement is just full of failure. I would put money down that the majority of the Brasil national team has played at some form of youth World Cup. Definitely, but I was arguing that 80% of ONE team don't make it to the main national team. If you understand what I mean, they might have played but not all together in the sub national teams, meaning that a team who wins the WC for U-20 might have 3 guys promoted to the national team or so.

U20, U17 level is full of shit. 80% of the players don't make it into the main national team anyways.

Finance Superpowers + Future = America, China, Japan and the Middle East ? ? ? Where is the three other members of the BRIC. Brazil, India and Russia? With their economic growth rate potential and also Russia and Brazilian football being in a more advanced state is surely means they'll be even better in 50+ years time? Talking about money struggling in football in South America is another show of lack of knowledge. Money is the reason for Brazil retaining its best young players in Neymar, Ganso etc. Its also the reason why players are coming back and why they are earning more than top players in Europe. Look at Ronaldinho as a prime example, might be passed it but had still a more to give in European football, he was involved in 45% of Milans goals in his last season and now at Flamengo he has almost doubled his salary from Milan. Liedson has come back and has also gotten a bigger paycheck, Elano and Luis Fabiano have lowered theres with couple of thousands but don't forget they had huge salaries playing for Sevilla and Elano for City and Galatasaray. Domestic Brazilian football is becoming one of the richest in the world and while not being able to predict how much more it can grow or how much more it will grow, you cannot deny the fact that its potential is huge and probably in footballing terms much larger than Chinese or American football. Also no one is denying the fact that the US is improving but not at the rate you think it is, and Asian football certainly hasn't improved that much in the last 10 years, especially considering (although you could argue how they got there) Korea played a Semi-final in the WC only 9 years ago and yet after another 2 attempts haven't come near that. South American football on the other hand has improved with a greater rate than Asian and American football yet its a continent with around 12 countries (where as two of them don't have a serious national team). Venezuela was 10 years ago a joke in international football and same goes for possibly Peru. Nowadays they are competing at a relatively high standard against good competitions.

This is so fucking ridiculous, sydneycove, I' sorry but you'll never live till the day your argument actually comes true. Also I find it hilarious talking about the J-League, Chinese League and the South Korean league when clearly their best players are all South American. Europe and South America will stay as the strongest footballing continents for another 50+ years no matter what you think, not arguing that football as a sport won't grow in the US and China but they're not going to become a stronger footballing nations than England, Spain, France, Netherlands, Italy, Brazil, Argentina, Portugal and Germany. Tradition and culture is too big and however, PASSION, the passion for football in these nations is greater than it will ever be in the US or so. Find it also funny you seem to think they'll take a spot off the South American who thinks it deserves an extra spot. Teams like Venezuela and Peru are growing as football nations and with already established nations such as Brazil, Uruguay and Argentina, would also add Paraguay to that and possibly Colombia there is no way in hell FIFA will find a logical reason to take a spot away from the CONMEBOL. In 2022 we will see an extra Asian nation due to the WC being play in Qatar, other than that theres no way in hell.

 What a ridiculous statement to make. Tbf, it's not that far from the truth. His goals and character were massive for us last season, but aside from that he didn't bring much to the table. Without his goals and leadership last season, we could have been relegated. Without his goals and leadership the season before, we may not have been promoted. It's fine to describe Nolan as a limited player (because he is) but in football, what is more important than scoring goals? Sorry for the bump but

Sorry but it just gets under my skin for someone to suggest we aren't as passionate as fans of other clubs because they're XX years old and football only started getting a fair go in places like America 15 - 20 years ago and only 4 years ago in Australia. Even more annoying because the USA and China will win the World Cup in the next 40 - 50 years and football over in Asia and the US will dwarf Europe. That last sentence. Even if US and Asian football dwarf European football fact is China or the US will never win a World Cup in the next 100 years (if I live the day that happens I promise to 'drink my own piss and eat my own shit'. Fact is South American football is still the biggest obstacle for anyone to overcome, the best players come from there and also the biggest nation in football. European football have due to our/their economic advantages been able to challenge South American football but talent wise South American football is still above any other thing. I can also promise you that China has a too small tradition for it to in 50years become the greatest footballing nation and US might as well with their economic future looking terrible be a 3rd world country in 50 years time (not really but you should understand where I'm going). It's simple, the US or China will never in my lifetime win a world cup, end of.

Myproblem with the Hajduk picture is that its a 100th anniversary while the Coritiba are just a random match. Its like a fucking jungle in there, like the Argentinian stadiums in the 50-60s.
-
That's beautiful.
-
Green Hell squad of Coritiba are also class supporters:
-
Fuck imagine if we had splahsed the cash on Sturridge.
-
Our fullbacks are poor. Right now even though we've conceded few, rightback or leftback depending on what Santon will play is a priority in January. More so than a striker at the moment.
-
This really. We won't be competing with Chelsea at the end of the season, and hopefully not with Bolton either. But a win here for them and I can see them building a momentum. We're just having a bit of fun man The longer we can stay up there, the better. Let your hair down! UP THE BOLTON!

Think we'll come out with a draw to be honest. Might win if we play Barfa and if Santon has a great first game.
-
In the end Pardew did the right thing in not playing Ben Arfa today because it was against a ruthless Wolves and we got 3 points. However, Barfa will have to start every single game when fit from now on. He'll be the difference between mid-table and a possible adventure in Europe next season. Think Marveaux will be hugely important to, but just not to the same degree as I think we'll see him rotate a bit with Jonas and Obertan.
-
Think it will be interesting to see how Sczezny and Krul develop. Both seem to have the shot stopping ability and talent to become great goalkeepers. But neither of them are anywhere near Reina.
-
Reina is the leagues best goalkeeper, end of story.
-
He'll replace Obertan in the next match, given a free role a bit like Freddie Ljungberg for Arsenal couple of years back. Obertan is probably the only player who due to form deserves to be bench, although his speed does give us a threat in counter attack.
-
Wasn't that game against Birmingham where we won 2-0 thanks to two shit goals by Best and Loven worse? Or his my memory failing me?
-
Today he can fuck off, know he was protecting our players with an international break coming up but still. almost lost it.
