  1. I didn't say any of the quotes were false, that's not generally how the rags do things anyway. I assumed you were trying to say Keegan couldn't really be happy with this situation, something that comment obviously doesn't prove for a second. Looking at your following post I don't think you meant that now anyway so forget it.
  2. to me it means they will help in the assessing and acquisition of players with keegan. to be fair you could take it either way, depending on if your positive or negative about the idea. Didn't Keegan say he was against the idea when he was suggested as Director of football under Allardyce? That's what worries me. do you honestly think, when Keegan was appointed that any of this was not mentioned to him? I asked a question, Keegan said that a director of football puts the manager under unnecessary pressure only 4 months ago? Do you honestly think he's changed his mind since then? Gabby Logan: You've been linked with DOF, Mike Ashley has mentioned your name and obviously Sam Allardyce didn't seem so keen so is that the kind of thing you're alluding too? You would never go into anywhere? Keegan: I think it's absolutely impossible to give Sam Allardyce a job at Newcastle United and then go and fetch somebody who for whatever reason is some sort of threat, it doesn't work, Sam would be a fool to let it happen, the guy who goes in would be a fool to accept it and the chairman, who's not a fool, would be a fool to try and do it. Dear me, you're as bad as the mirror.. Obviously he doesn't see Wise as a threat..
  3. You mean beatable teams like Bolton? :-) If you're being serious you need a kicking We've played Derby with Keegan in charge this season? Silly me!!! .... I forgot they took four points off you before KK took over. Yes you did forget that, because your an idiot

  5. Its always difficult to get good players in during the January window. Some teams will simply refuse to sell and others will ask for twice or more what a player is worth. There's no way I want us paying £20 million for Bentley or something equally stupid. The real test will be in the summer, I've got no doubt Keegan has been offered big money but that still doesn't mean we can expect something similar to Chelsea this coming summer. They were a top 6 team when Abramovich came in (didn't they actually finish 4th the season before?). They had money and the pull of a high finish in the league and European Football. IMO Keegan will have £40-£50 million to spend this summer, but he'll want the right players, not just anyone.
  6. Its definitely relegation form, but its the form of the team under Allardyce not Keegan, so its not worth talking about at this point. Lets talk about this once we play a few beatable teams with Keegan in charge.
  7. Do not agree witrh this. Who in your opinion then are the bottom 6 that are on a par with us, our of interest? We've kinda made ourselves look s*** by struggling to take points off every team below us. Under Allardyce with ludicrous tactics..
  8. Owen's been worse though, so what are you on about?
  9. Give over man. I know, its an unbelievable comment. We need a few draws and a couple of wins from 15 games and we have the likes of Fulham, Sunderland and Boro to play at home, there's nothing miraculous about beating those teams.
  10. You've seen enough in two games aginst Arsenal away and Bolton with a thread bare team to know that we'll get relegated? Did you expect us to beat Arsenal? Also we drew against Bolton so what are you on about saying "not even drawing"?..
  11. 42 points to be 'relatively safe'? That points total has only been required to stay up once in Premiership history, the majority of the time its between 34 and 38 points. You talk about us having only 27 points from 23 games, but the likes of Sunderland, Wigan and Brum (fighting it out not to fall into that last relegation place) have only 20 points from 23 games, so what's going to make them get another 20 or so from there last 15 games?? Even Boro one place below us only have 22 points.. Look, so far we've played a side with 11 men behind the ball (which was made even harder with having to have Ameobi up front and Rozehnal in midfield) and arguably the best team in the league away. You surely can't have expected anything against Arsenal, so I suppose this is all down to only drawing against Bolton in Keegans first game after a few days in charge eh? Lets just wait until we play the likes of Boro before panicking.. We need 11 more points to stay up IMO.
  12. Manure fans singing 'Cheer up Kevin Keegan' mackems.gif Which decade do they think they're in
  13. They're doing well at the moment, nothing more, you make it sound like they're Arsenal, Manure or Chelsea FFS. at least they are on track. But we aren't on track after two games under Keegan, one of which was against Arsenal at the Emirates.. How many games has Ramos had at Spurs? Common man stop being silly here. Yap. Have to say i may be silly here. Just that i am a bit disillusioned and depressed these days...seeing we are still not creating chances, no potential signings esp Woody rejects us while Spurs (hate them, sorry cos i always see them as our nearest rivals in the league to gain ground on the top half of the table) are gaining ground and momentum. really hope kk can turn us around. I know what you mean. I hate Spurs too, though mostly because of how deluded there fans are more then anything else. But as far as I can see we've already improved under Keegan simply because the Football is already far better and as we get past teams like Manure, Arsenal and on to the likes of Fulham, Boro and Sunderland I'm confident of picking up points. Also we did create chances against Arsenal.
  14. I've heard plenty of stories of Woodgates stupidity but I think this is even worse then the rest. Is this really how this man decides his future? Ah well never mind, I was never that bothered about signing him, he would have been a very good addition if he could get bac to his best, but in the end its not a priority position and the price is over the odds considering the price.

  16. They already have a better team than us. The new personnel is the Manager while we get an obviously romantic (but wrong) appointment in KK. Really depressed...watching Spurs giving a good game aga Man U (something that I do not think we can do it against teams like that) Where you watching the Arsenal game yesterday? We gave Arsenal just as much of a good game in the first half, wait until the end of the game at least
  17. They're doing well at the moment, nothing more, you make it sound like they're Arsenal, Manure or Chelsea FFS.
  18. Which form table are you referring to? The one I posted on the previous page http://www.footballanorak.com/FA-Barclaycard-Premiership-Form-Guide-0.html Based on the last 6 games, isn't that quite a random number to base it on?? Ok, another random number. Last 14 games: Won = 2 Lost = 8 Drawn = 4 Is that better? Our form is s****. How can you even argue with that?? But on that form we'd finish above all the teams currently below us

  20. Don't be so stupid.. Nobody really cares about Geremi and you know it, the players people think will improve us from the African Nations are Beye, Faye and Martins, which they will do. Also nobody's mentioned top half, we just aren't silly enough to believe we're going to get relegated.
  21. Which form table are you referring to?
  22. You're correct of course that some of the teams below us have been gaining on us in the last 10 games, but not enough of them and none of them enough to show they'll finish above us. Here's the points gained for the bottom 9 teams in the last 10 games (plus projected points total based on those points): Derby - 1 points (9) Fulham - 3 points (20) Newcastle - 9 points (41) Birmingham - 9 points (34) Reading - 9 points (36) Sunderland - 10 points (35) Boro - 12 points (40) Wigan - 12 points (38) Bolton - 13 points (41) For us to have any problem Brum, Reading, Sunderland, Boro, Wigan and Bolton are all going to have to improve on there points per game average over the next 15 games and we have to get worse, is that likely? I realise we have some difficult teams coming up, but we now have the plus point of not being managed by Allardyce Also is it really likely that none of those other teams have harder games coming up then they had in the previous 10 games?, that's extremely unlikely IMO.
  23. Do you think the failure to push on is due to the change of manager? Newcastle had Allardyce, a confirmed 4-5-1 man, boring tactically, long ball, solid defensively. So SA started to buy the type of players he needed for his system. Allardyce gets sacked, KK comes in, a manager who couldn't be more at the opposite of the managerial spectrum, 4-4-2, attacking football, we'll score more than you will. KK's problem is that he hasn't got many of the type of player he needs to play the style he wants to. No, No and No, first of all Allardyce's team was not solid defensively. Second we have players far better suited to Keegan's way of playing then Allardyce, and finally had Allardyce stayed we would be in far more danger of relegation. The failure this season is down to Allardyce, changing manager has possibly saved us. I genuinely believe that had he stayed there was a chance of relegation, his team didn't look capable of beating anyone without spades of luck, even the worst in the league. As for the original poster, sorry man but you've lost your mind. Three wins would keep us up and we have Fulham, Boro, Sunderland, Reading and Blackburn at all home, we also have some mid table teams to play away who we can nick points from.
