    Kenedy

Can't say that I thought he looked thick against Norwich like, he very rarely wasted possession, played some nice balls through and created their goal with a good cross.
  2. So then why was Ashley the one the break the silence on the takeover and let everyone know it was off?, fancied putting himself under pressure for a laugh?
  3. Its not a huge fee anymore, but still a decent sum. We should be expecting to get someone significantly better than we have up front currently for that money.

    Kenedy

To be fair I wasn't bothered in the slightest about signing Kenedy, seemed like the most boring transfer saga in history, until I saw him play. Looked very exciting in the cup game, not just his skill, his end product also looked very good. I know its just one game, but he definitely has lots of ability.
  5. Or we could go outside the league and find someone twice as good for the same money, bound to be much better strikers available abroad for around 23m Euros.
  6. Most teams in the league would break their record at £18m+ like, but aye its mental that our record is so relatively low given the size of the club. Is it still Owen as the record or was Wijnaldum more?
  7. Joselu with goals sounds pretty good to me to be honest. I like his all round game, just doesn't score nearly enough.
  8. Glad she's come out and spoken, can't stand Ashley's drunken drivel going unchallenged.
  9. NDA is about financial details and likely private discussions between the parties relating to the takeover, nothing else.
  10. My theory: PCP contacted the club about possible interest well before the mid October announcement putting the club up for sale officially. We know this to be true because Staveley had been at the Liverpool two weeks earlier, and in the statement there were references made to dilligence periods, so it's fair to assume something was brewing before Ashley showed his hand. I don't think it's therefore hard to imagine how Keith Bishop devised a plan to use the interest to Ashley's advantage regardless of him ever actually being prepared to sell. Let's face it, Ashley had absolutely nothing to lose by doing this. Either it would result in an offer too good to refuse or it would take the heat of him and allow him to get away with spending as little as possible in the January transfer window, which is exactly what seems to be happening. I.e. Amanda Staveley doesn't have to be actually "in" on it - she's probably getting played by Bishop and Ashley like we all are and have been for the past 10 years. Who's letting Ashley get away with spending as little as possible due to the potential takeover like?, who are these people? I'm not, I don't see anyone here who is apart from the occasional loon. Also if this is the aim why has he ended it with 15 days of the transfer window remaining? As a plan to allow him not to spend during this window its not only ridiculously over elaborate but incredibly pointless/ineffective. It also ignores the fact that he really just doesn't give a fucking shit about what we think of him.
  11. I don't see anyone saying that its acceptable that we aren't buying players right now due to a potential takeover, don't see how any of this would help Ashley avoid buying players. So yeah I doubt that now just as much as I ever did.
  12. Yep agree with this. As ever it all comes down to the fact that Ashley is and always will be a massive cunt. The club isn't just worth more to Ashley if its in a solid position in the league though, its worth more to PCP as well. There bid amount will be effected by the threat of relegation, any sensible bidder would look at that. But only a chancer would actually decide to bid for a club because they think they can get it cheaper at the moment because of the threat of relegation, I don't think Stavelys a chancer like.
  13. Easy to see why he makes a difference IMO. He works hard to win the ball and moves it forwards quickly, he almost never goes backwards.
  14. I don't think you can depend on one player to score goals. When he's not playing it's still the same story. Ritchie, Shelvey and Atsu need to be chipping in with more as well. Its not about depending on one player, we don't often create a lot of chances but today we did create quite a few, he was the striker up front today and should have capitalised on those chances.
  15. Basically had Gayle not been a total donkey we'd have walked that game.
  16. No option to buy and we pay loads of his wages eh? All for the privileged of not having him as a option in the squad, well where do we sign?
  17. Problem is Hernandez record this season is shite, no better than Gayle's. Obviously we've got to trust Benitez if that's what he wanted to do but I'd be worried personally that Hernandez would offer us little more than we already have. Plus we'd have lost the option of Shelvey in tight games.
  18. Fucking bring it!!! Tottenham with their mental season ticket prices and bigger branding. All we will have is player trading. Get players to play well and sell them on. Nothing different to what Ashley had been trying to do for a decade. We won’t try and build something like a successful football team, just a profitable one. Sorry, I should have realised that you know everything about everything and can see into the future. Your boring and uneducated posts are getting a bit tedious now, you don’t know any of that for certain but bang on like you have a clue. My uneducated guess will be closer to the truth than you care to admit. It’s why you are spitting the dummy, deep down you know I’ll be right. Unfortunately. But please, continue to act like a twat when an opinion doesn’t match up to your own. You're throwing around guesses based on fuck all and stating them as fact, you deserve any shit you get to be honest.
  19. We were getting parachute payments in the Championship so the increase won't be that much. Revenue will certainly be up significantly though, then again the wage bill will also have increased (surely players will have had wage increases in their contracts). Also if you sell a club on the basis its in the Premier League you can't then increase your asking price when you get the inevitable payment from being in that league. Well I mean logically, obviously Ashley logic may be different.
  20. I doubt that Ashley is pitching the club as "A Premier League side that possibly might go down this season". So improving our chances of survival shouldn't change his asking price at all.
