Roeders answer to our desperate need for a striker (as we had NO top class strikers at all once Owen was injured) was to not play (and then to compound the matter) not SELL Luque, insist on playing Ameobi, a fella who isn't Premiership class when he's fit, never mind now, sign a kid from Man Utd who will be good in a few years - for 6 months, pay nowt for a player who is simply not good enough in Sibierski that we are now going to rely on, and sign a player who is very very quick, but not actually a very good striker, in Martins. Mind, his response to our DESPERATE need for a centre back was to sign a winger we didn't need. So it could have been worse. Roeder - idiot.

He's not going to come back better/changed/more mature. he's a little wanker, and the sooner he's gone the better.

Its the pace. Defenders hate pace, and he still has that. Also, bizarrely, his ffet seem to move very fast - he runs quite quick, but seems to move his feet even faster. He IS only average, thought. All the pace in the world, but little end product. Liek i say, though, beggars can't be choosers.

Championship players. If Babayaro plays, he'll get taken to bits.

I fear it will. Robson, probably. Shepherd managed to bring in a worse football manager than Souness when he got Roeder (although less of a twat, clearly), so the next logical step would be Robson.

I'd like to see proper costings on how much it would take to buy the club, get rid of the deadwood (Luque, Shambles, Dire, etc), and invest in a squad with actual players. I suspect it would be a damned sight more than anyone with any brains would pay for a relegation team.

Dire is quick, and that unsettles defenders. But beyond that, he is a very very average player. Mind, even though i hate the diseased little cunt, even an average player is better than half of our first team now. Handy as a sub for the rest of the season, when he's fit.

If anyone thinks that Bramble or Moore are good enough to be in our first team in the medium/long term, they are mental. Our defence is abysmal. We rely on having good 'keepers to carry the appalling defence.

Roeder is an absolute cretin. The vast majority of our "first team" is not good enough for a team with aspirations of the top half of the premiership. Dyer comes on and "improves us" by running fast then wasting the opportunity. Shame he didn't hurt himself again yet. We are an absolute shower of shite, and we fully deserve to be where we are - genuine relegation candidates. Under Roeder, we will NEVER get into Europe again.

The only good thing aboitu him having to have the operation is that he can't play for us, and Roeder/his replacement will have to think about strikers in january. My biggest fear is that he comes back after the op, and gets a first team place again. If he's a first team player, then we ARE in the right position in the league.

No. Carr has been very good this year and I don't see who else would be LB if not baba. Millner is f*cking shite and shouldn't be near our first XI and Solano lacks pace and haven't looked himself since he got back from his injury. Better, on the whole, that players like Duff.

I bet after his first 10 games in Serie A, Johnson would look worse than Martins. Give him a chance to adjust at least. Adjusting to the premiership is one thing. Being able to control a football is a universal requirement. THAT does not need time to do. We are a Premiership club, who needed a striker (well, two), as the only one we had fit was Ameobi, and he is not a premiership player. And Roeder fucked it up. Again.

Far, far more likely than Luque getting a game. Or Luque having a good Premiership one.
