It probably could be a good business decision, but it would go against everything football's about for me. I'm not even sure I'd start him if we had him, Trippier, and Hall all fully fit at the same time, but he's going to be one of the best FBs in world football for a long time to come.

I love 3-4-3 anyway, but I think it matches up really nicely against a defensive 4-2-3-1 where you need to dominate the ball and create chances.

Totally disagree, Gordon’s on another level to him in terms of overall contribution and fit in this team.

I don’t really think much of Barnes, but he’s been far better off the bench than Gordon has. It’s a toss-up really, one is class but not in good form, while the other is decent and was in decent form before being moved out of position.

If Trippier’s able to play, I’d be putting him straight back in. Pope Trippier Schär Botman Burn Livramento Tonali Guimarães Murphy Isak Gordon We’d actually have a decent bench option in Barnes, then.
