No, I got what he meant. Sorry like, Ramsdale, Thaiw, elanga and Wissa with a back up midfield does not represent a just below a perfect window for me. Yea bodies are filled but the quality is not quite there. the top 4 have made massive strides on us and Man Utd are closing the gap rapidly.

Again I love the revisionism at play here. The deal for Thaiw was there to be done for cheaper than now and we moved away from that deal. We wanted Guehi. We haven’t chased him for 2 years. We’ve messed this summer up so we’ve went for someone we opted against going for

And I don’t think Thaiw is particularly good.

Howe is an amazing coach but this water in to wine stuff gets taken way too far. Kelly was still shite, longstaff was average, Almiron was still shite, ASM was still a headless chicken, Gordon has went backwards after a good first season. Not every player coached by EH is gonna turn out amazing.
