Squad based on wikipedia: Goalkeepers: Harper, Krul, Forster Right Back: Simpsons, R Taylor Left back: Enrique Central def: Williamson, Taylor ,Coloccini Right wing: Barton Central Mid: Tiote, Cabaye Left Wing: Jonas/Marveux/Ben Arfa Strikers: Ba, Ameobi, Best Youngsters worth keeping imo, and should be loaned out: LuaLua, Kadar, Vuckic, Ferguson, Donaldson, Sammy Ameobi, and Ranger Get rid: Guthrie, Routledge(not rated by Pardew), Perch, Smith, and Xisco In our back line we need a cover for Enrique if he stays and a central defender. Think R.Taylor is a ok backup on the right side, and we can also put S.Taylor there. Midfield I think we need a backup for Barton, think maybe Jonas can play there? I think we need backups for Tiote and Cabaye. Vuckic can be a backup, but I feel it would be better to loan him out to gain some first team experience. Strikers I feel like Demba Ba is the only striker we have. Ameobi is to much injured and Best have not showed enough yet.

I hope the days of signing players like smith, duff, luque, campbell are over, so no thanks to Ireland. I guess he is on massive wages in Villa, and would only come if offered simulare here...

Arda Turan? What happened to Turan? I remember we were interessted buying him in 2008 or something, then he seemed like an up and comming player, but i feel he dissapered after that..

I think we need to keep Guthrie because our squad is still to thin.

Simpson has stagnated simply down to lack of competition, hopefully this summer will see us bring in someone to shake him out of it and move up another level. As it stands I can see people's concerns with Simpson, however I have faith in him improving beyond the player he is now as long as competition is brought in. Would prefer Clyne, though i'd be happy-ish with Spector at RB. We should go for Tom Høgli as our next RB. He managed to mark out C.Ronaldo when Norway played portugal last match. He would cost around 1M. Far from good enough. Heard that one about Hangeland before he joined Fulham. Høgli is a player who hardly puts a fot wrong and is ok(much like Simpsons) going forward. He would be a decent signing imo.

IMO if we sign BA, we need at least 2 more good strikers. And I dont mean signings like Xisco would be like a new signing type of signing.

If we get Ba then we should also go for hitzlsperger. It seems like they have a good understanding on the pitch. I think both would be excellent for us, hitz. can also play left back and have great shot as well.

I think we should build our squad around our goalkeepers, Enrique, Colo, Simpson, Barton, Nolan, Jonas, Tiote and Ben Arfa. We need imo atleast 1 CB, 1 new winger with pace, 1 new cm, and 2 new strikers. West Ham have some good players that should be available now. I have always had a soft spot for T. Hitzelsperger, Faubert, Demba Ba, and ofcourse Parker(but i dont think he would ever come back here).

I cant believe people want us to sign Ireland, he has played 49 Min for us over a period of 4 months. His for the last couple of seasons have been way off, Villa just want to get rid of the greedy lying bastard. His injury record lately has been really bad, and the next thin is that we have players that can play in his best and possible only position(AMC / Behind the stirker(s) ) in Nolan, and Ben Arfa. If we sign him it reminds me of when we signed Duff, we didnt need a left winger but the deal was to good to turn down. If we were to get him, I would only want him on load or else he would be to high of a risk in my mind. We need strikers, central midfielder( i would prefer Nolan in the role behind the striker again), another winger and defenders.

Im sorry but i have no faith in Ireland and feel that he was just brought in because we couldnt get anyone else + villa needed to get down the wages after a massive lost over the last couple of seasons. We have some good players but we need to invest to become a side that challenge for europe. 1st the squad is to thin to play in europe atm. 2nd we are lacking strikers and need backup players in almost every position. 3rd we need to keep the players we have, and i dont trust Pardew, Llambias and Ashley to do that. 4th we have to stop ppl like Routledge beein loaned out when we have a paper thin squad.

Ireland? have you seen him play the last 2 seasons, he has been absplutly rubbish for a while now. It is a reason why we got him on a loan deal you know.

I think our midfield doesnt look in balance(guthrie and colo making the same runs which is leaving a gap behind them). Take out one of the central defenders and put in shane ferguson, put joey barton i central midfield Gutierrez and Ferguson on each wing with Colo going back in defence. Think our midfield would be more balanced and we would be able to create more + joey will be able to get into shooting pos more often.

We are lacking balance in midfield. I hope he takes out 1 of the center backs and put in another midfielder, because this is not working.
