Our freekicks are just wasted. We need a player who can score from freekicks! I think Geremi is the worst freekick taker in the premiership.

Mike Ashley should get his wallet out if we can attract/get the right players. I dont think he should go out and buy just because he can, and we end up with another luque or so. I feel we need a midfielder who can shoot from distance, and it would be great if he was creative too.

I agree with everything youre saying here. And it was the same thing I was thinking.

First of all; didnt Gullit resign from his job? "Newcastle's under-fire manager Ruud Gullit has resigned blaming the media for invading his privacy" SBR took over a squad that had played 7 games without winning in the league, so comparing the start of SBR area and Big Sam area would be wrong imo. The transfer window was closed, so SBR couldnt buy players, he had to wait till the january transfer window before he could get his "own" players. Well enough with the history lesson for now. Big Sam was never my first choice as manager, but after the appointment of Graeme Souness and Glen Roeder, we couldnt excactly pick who ever we wanted. But I wanted Svennis more than Big Sam. Svennis can attract bigger and better players just for his name, he also has a large network around the world, and he wants to play football - Not just try to get a result. Big Sam hasnt had the best of starts for NUFC, but thats not the problem. IMO we havent come anywere from last season, the only thing that is better is the team morale. We have gotten lucky points from teams we should go out and out play, instead we have gotten outplayed. When was the last time we played out a team? When was the last time we had a tap in goal? I actually think it was in the start of Graeme Souness's time. If Big Sam doesnt qualify for European football, he should get sacked. And i feel the transfer window in january, then we will see what his intentions are. In most games we should enter the field trying to outplay the other team, against Chelsea, Man Utd, Liverpool, and Arsenal its ok to try to out muscle them, but the rest should we control the game. Sorry for my bad English :-)

Why is Owen on the field instead of Martins?

He hasnt played this season, that is worrying me, and he aint getting any younger But if he is gonna make it in the premiership, Big Sam is the man to coach him.

Most people in here say they want to wait til the end of the season before sacking Big Sam(if he is gonne get sacked). So the question should be, which pos will save or loose his job?

I dont know why Big Sam started Cacapa and Faye in central defense, they were strugling with the pace against Reading to. ¨ I dont think Big Sam has taken us anyway yet, I still have high hopes, but his tactics doesnt seem to be so very good :|

I think Geremi should be dropped, and he shouldnt play in the winger position. And he should stop taking our freekicks, corners etc. The guy cant shoot or pass the ball, cant believe Big Sam cant see this.You don try to chip the ball in goal from 35 meters, It is such a waste of the freekick. Think Milner was good last game, when he came in as a sub. and he got a goal. We need to buy aa world class winger to replace milner, atleast fight for his place in the team.

Why is it everyone question manager who hasnt managed in the premiership? Benitez or Morinho hadnt managed in the premiership before they came here, so why shouldnt Ramos be a hit? Is the tempo to high for him, to physicall?

Think Jose Enrique has been excellent, and he is something we have missed for ages. When J.E comes on a "overlap", Zoggy should play him instead of try to dribble past 2-3 men... I also thought some of our players had more pace/accelration, but it seems like the tottenham players are faster than ours.

Why do Geremi take all the freekicks? :-[

Think SA will rest Owen in the first halv, after a hard week with the national team. Martins will be starting with Viduka is my guess

Maybe some ppl should try to put themself in taylors shoes. Best defensive player all last season, always done his best, captein of u21 for england. And btw we dont know anything about the contract they put infront of him. But i guess 20-30K would i demand if i were him, with posibility to negotiate it after 2 year or so..

where's that from? Looking forward to seeing him, think it could be that spark we need in the middle. That's from Physioroom.com, and is purely based on the original estimate. Be a while yet imo. Yea i cant see SA playing Barton until he is fit, Like he did with Owen. Slowly ease him into games until he is fully fit and ready, He'll probably play a few reserve games Aye was from physioroom.com, think Barton will be a sub in that game. Maybe get 15-20 min is my guess.

I hope we sell Emre, get around 3-5M for him. I hope we get a star playmaker in the likes of Deco, Riquelme etc. We need a big personality, with creativity to control the midfield. I also hope we do like Arsenal and Liverpool, and buy some young players for backup. We have to think of the future too, and it would be nice to get the future stars.

Taylor is really the right back we have been looking for, he has had a great game so far(when i say this, he will probably do a blunder in the second half :kasper:). Dont think Viduka has been all that, think Martins or Ameobi should have played ahead of him. Little Mickey comes to the odd chances, but what has happend to his finnishes? He kinda reminds me off rush, small thin guy upfront, hope he grow a mustage soon.. But we have played pretty well, just hope the goals will come soon.

Tbh I dont think we will be any better with Emre in the team, when has he really been the creative midfielder for us? I have big hopes for Barton, but i havent really watch him played, so if he is creative or not i cant say. But I hope he will take the central role in midfield and can control the bunch. We did well scoring 2 goals, but its to bad that we conceeded 2, especially thinking that we played with 3 defensive midfielders. I like that Big Sam stick to the system he knows, and i bet our players will adjust to it, but it will take some time. All i can say is that we need to give him time to work his magic, it will take time to get so many new players to know each other on the pitch. I think we should start next game with Taylor(or a new rb) on RB, Cacapa an Rozenahl in the middle, and Zoggy or enrique on the LB. And i hope to god that we dont play with 3 defensive midfielders at the same time. Milner looks like he lacks confidence, Martins seems afraid of going for the ball when a defender is close to him. What is it with Geremi running into our own players and getting the ball, and taking all freekicks, and throw ins? It never works chipping in the ball from 40 meters from a freekick, we need someone to do like robert, shoot the ball into the box, getting a head or a foot on it, then it will be a goal.

Forget about anelka, and keep Martins. Martins is young, and a good prospect for the future.

How about carr's first touch, im not sure if he even got a first touch or if he tries to pass the ball through and run after it himself *lol* *
