Really interesting/good post. Have to say, just anecdotally: Joelinton's absence is visible, however Pope rushing out of his six yard box often gave me palpitations

That's a weird reaction to a bad draw.

Win on pens and they'll be barely a peep, move on. Lose and this forum will get spicy for a few days. It's the same performance. (And it was shite IMO )

We should have signed Dirk Kuyt's son* instead of Isak. He suits the system better. * - don't know if Kuyt actually has a son, but the point stands. Anyway, hopefully we keep playing for set pieces and send all of our lads up when we win a free kick in the halfway line. That's the way to move forward our style. Or maybe a classic press the defence into making a rick and then score. That's sustainable too.

Credibility of FFP (further) in tatters.

Does everyone have Woodgate amnesia?

Won at Villa park the other day tbf. No Joelinton vs a top quality side, playing well, is a recipe for disaster atm IMO.

Sounds like not the worst time for my river provider to dry up. Only caught the first 10 minutes of getting botted.

Robertson and Konate in my line up. Bloody Klopp.

Been thinking about my favourite Newcastle XI: Given Albert Woodgate Schar Tiote Solano Guimaraes Joelinton Robert HBA Shearer

Any result wouldn't have been unfair given the performances. Bournemouth are a nasty side to face. They out-Newcastle'd Newcastle home and away I thought. First game, Newcastle were gassed. This game, we constantly invigorated them I thought instead of controlling the pace of them and demoralising them. When Joelinton got injured I thought the remainder of the season was a bit of a dead rubber and just playing from pride. Feel no different. 1 point from 6 against Luton, 1 point from 6 against Bournemouth. 3 from 6 against Forest. Just hope Bruno doesn't feel too shit about nee Europe next year.

A few chances where Newcastle could have hit it first time - like that, but didn't. Sigh.

Great finish tbf.

Bournemouth literally punting it into the left channel of our defence within 30 seconds
