How come people like Souness are so oblivious to how much they failed. Stunning arrogance from the man. Souness comes across quite well in the media and appears to be talking sense at times to those who don't know him any better. When he first came here i was gutted but he talked the talk and said all (well mostly) the right things so i thought lets give the man a chance and try to get behind him. I soon discovered Souness is the manager most blinded by his own arrogance on an absolutely colossal scale. Lady luck, injuries, only a poxy £50m to spend, Shepherd interfearing, coulden't get the best player ever (Boa Morte) and everything and everyone else to blame but would NEVER ever admit he was ever and i mean EVER at fault. Where it is as plain to everyone with half a brain to see that he fucked up big time, he was absolutely crap, that simple. There is no way he would even contemplate that he is completely blind to that plain fact.

We have really missed Milner no doubt in my mind about it. We could have really done wit a player like him over the last few games. Never understood his critics at all. With Milner Won 2 Drawn 1 without milner lost the fucking lot. Wise you are a prick for not giving him the 10K a week extra, because if any of our players actually deserved to be on 25-30k a week it was him (and shay given).

He has reportedly asked for over £400m for us. No one will give him that but he'll stick it until he gets what he wants and that could take years. With 50k in the ground, he'll be getting cash in to hold the stance. A low crowd will hit him in the pocket and with the team performance what it is (no confidence with no leadership at all) we'll drop behind 4th bottom and with the prospect of a relegation, loss of Sky cash, sponsorship dropping off and the threat of a massive number not renewing for next season, his price will drop to an amount where someone will take the punt on us. If you look at the programme, you'll see the sponsors pulling away from shirt sponsorship etc already. The guy who sponsors Viduka's shirt was called 4 times last week to take on additional sponsorship. He refused and threatened to pull the plug on his current deal unless they backed off. We need things getting tight for Ashley to cut and run. I think you're over estimating your importance to the club, in financial terms. Think your missing the point Eldiablo. If one or two do not go Ashleys not going to be very out of pocket. I'm not going either and if 30,000 like us don't go, then the club will be devalued bit by bit. Ashley asking for £400m+ is a complete piss take of the highest order and if people can't see Ashley for who he really is now there is no hope for them. I say boycott in order to devalue the club and therefore the amount Ashley can reasonably charge. If he starts losing money he'll want to cut and run quicker. I can see where you're both coming from, but imo there's have to be a consistent drop in sales for him to take real notice of that, not just one game. A lot of people will have season tickets, so they can't really hit him in the pocket, especially those who took the 3 year thing. I just don't think it will make THAT much of a difference to be honest. Maybe I'm wrong, would just prefer to get behind the team. Seems to be a 50/50 split down the middle. Shame we are all not in unison as we'd be more effective that way. In a way its Each to their own. There is no way i am going to critise you or anyone else for going to support our beloved club/team. However my view is in order to rid us of Ashley its better to hurt him they only way we can, in the pocket by boycotting, if the revenue starts drying up and the club starts losing value he would HAVE to start taking notice. Once he and Dennis are gone we come back with a vengence giving 110% to the new set up.

I'd normally say no but it depends when the club is likely to be sold. If its soon No thanks if its not before xmas then its better than getting relegated.

I think Viduka is still potentially our most useful striker. The only issue being he's never fit. When he played for us last year I thought he was superb. Baheng and Lua Lua have potental but Viduka IS a has been, fat, slow and unbelievably injury prone. Viduka was once good and is good if given a chance when he's in space, he'll probably finish. But if he isn't presented with a chance and/or has someone marking him then he is pretty useless. Thank god his contract runs out this summer. For that reason i'd try Baheng and Lua Lua ahead of Viduka and if the turn out to be just as bad they can follow him out the door. Lua Lua looked potentially good (similar to Zoggy) but i'd have to see more of him. Martins and Owen are a million miles better than Viduka.

If Dennis wise was installed as director of football at man u or Arsenal and started dictating to ferguson and wenger which players he wanted coming and going how long do you think they'd stick around for? ...Now what what would the boards do at the various clubs do to stop the main man walkking? They would sack wise and move heaven and earth to get the right manager to stay. What did Ashley do??? Made a situation happen where he could put the club up for sale, convieniently enough. Will some people on here get in through their thick skulls and stop listening to mishief making mackems. Ashley took over the toon for one reason and one reason only to make ......££££££. Do i trust Keegan? - Yes do i trust Ashley Wise etc - No Keegan had to walk unless he wanted that horrible little shit Wise dictating who comes and goes. We all know there was no way aman of Keegan's standing was puting up with that. He made a stand, Ashley refused to get rid of Wise, Keegan coulden't work under him so walked. Do i blame Keegan ? No. Do i blame Ashley- Yes he should have within reason moved Wise out etc to keep the right manager. Look at the mess we are in !! Players are looking to leave and are not playing well anymore. Relegation is a very real possibility unless something is done fast. The best we can hope for is that a man city type owner comes in and sacks wise and reinstalls Keegan. Keegan will steady the ship till Jan, where he can buy a few players. Thats what i'm praying for. However fat greedy bastard Ashley wants a ridiculous profit on his outlay and may be in no rush. However if we boycott and stop the cash rolling in to Ashley his investment keeps going down in value. He's going to want to sell quicker.

"Doubtful" apparently

You have had a good run. We have decent first XI if everyone is fit. These are great times compared to 1980's. Relegation seasons are my low points, none of these recent sideshows come close to making you feel as low as going down do. If we don't get a new owner and Keegan back very soon then relegation is a very real possibility in my opinion. Half the players are looking to leave as it is. Dennis fucking Wise
-
Ah man I wish you hadn't just said that Milner would come in more than a little bit handy now as he'd have to be a better option than Duff or Geremi on the RW. Never understood his critics. He was clearly one of our best players. Fantastic young player. O'neil is no mug and paid £12m and Benitez wanted him too.
-
One thing i'm sure of and that is Zog shoulden't play LB. Play Bassong there and push Zog on the left wing or on the left of a three up top.
-
Aye, that's probably about the best we can do. Agreed thats probably the best team we can muster at the moment. If Martins plays we stand half a fighting chance of a result. But i fear the worst with our team morale being so low. With Keegan and Milner both gone i'd take a draw right now, but i fear the worst. If Bellamy plays i predict Taylor may give away a penalty (and i'm a Taylor fan).
-
Gotta love Oba. Very honest coments. Gutted if he goes. If he starts on Sat we have half a chance, if he doesn't i fear the worst now that Keegan and Milner have gone.
-
Was never a red car to be fair. I disagree. Since when has a full and deliberate rugby tackle on someone running past you an into a good position not a red card, regardless of covering defenders? It was the cynical nature of the challange that makes it a red for me. 100% correct Mowen. Its bloody football not Rugby!! It really was a professional foul. Its ok for players to rugby tackle then from now on and they will only get a yellow.

Sorry to break this to you, but Newcastle lost today, man. Yeah, due to lack of spine and poor performances from the old lot. Which of the new signings were crap today? Which of the new signings have shown signs of being crap since they arrived? The recruitment is fine. Now we just need to give them a gaffer to bring it all together. the fact you think this is a choice between the players we've signed and keegan is alarming. when did this false dichotomy arise? from what i remember keegan was fine with bassong, coloccini, guthrie and Jonas, he 'green lighted' their signings in the same way he didn't sanction moves for Gomis or Zayatte. the problem is when the likes of wise and llambias started doing transfer deals without keegan's say so. had they left and keegan stayed, we'd still have kept Vetere the bloke who is actually going out and finding players. For me, Xisco looks very strong and brave, and battles for everything. his first touch is very rusty, he's not particularly fast, his movement is ok, isnt the sort to beat players, has a bit of an eye for goal. promising but a long way to go for him. Nacho looked decent when he came on, didnt do enough to make me think he's any better than (or even equal to) Emre, but the fact he tried to make adventurous passes is a plus with a lack of bodies and lack of quality endemic to our squad. Agree 100% with Jonnypd

that little crest on the shirt, no...not the addidas one, is what I think we should be supporting, particularly during the 90minutes of competition Some people care more about the behind the scenes business than they do about what happens on the pitch. erm what is happening behind the scenes has well and truly fucked up what happens on the pitch. keegans gone.....strong rumours that they are all up for sale... etc 100% Boycotting eveything Ashley could make a penny from. Once his £250m+ investment starts losing value and his business starts losing money he WILL HAVE TO take notice. Dennis fucking Wise director of football??? FFS its like their delibrately taking the piss!
-
NO MILNER. NO KEEGAN = NO CHANCE! SACK THE BOARD, BOYCOTT EVERYTHING ASHLEY! ONCE HIS 250M+ INVESTMENT STARTS LOSING VALUE HE WILL HAVE TAKE NOTICE OF THE FANS. GET HIM OUT!! DENNIS FUCKING WISE NUFC DIRECTOR OF FOOTBALL FFS
-
We are shit without Milner. Hello relegation. Sack the board

Is that you Mike.........Dennis ?

I support the statement of 'True Faith' and 'The Mag'. Since i'm not a season ticket holder, i'm not going to any more games either, until i'm alot happier (i suspect this maybe until Ashley and Wise go). I do not support Ashley's decision's (i'm livid actually) Dennis f***ing Wise director of football?? So all i can do is boycott and vocally protest about what they have done. If i had a season ticket and coulden't get my money back i'd go to the Hull game and protest. One person doesn't make a difference but i'm sure when tens of thousands don't turn up and the tens of thousands that do hurl abuse at you and the value of your 200m+ investment starts shrinking they WILL be forced to think long and hard about what to do next. those who want to go support the team that is THEIR CHOICE, fair enough. My decision is to do somrthing about it and boycott. Ashley and Wise seem interested in making money out of us and that is it. I trust keegan, i certainly do not trust Ashley, Wise or LLambias. I hope someone buys them out and reinstalls Keegan. If Ashley, wise and co appoints someone who is a roaring success, then i'll have to admit i'm wrong and i certainly will do. But for now i really think they have f***ed up big time and i am not going to be hypocritical about it and support them in any way shape or form, especially financially. Our future under this regime looks very very bad. Relegation is now a possibility as the players must be affected by this. At best i see us mid table mediocrity. Its almost like they are taking the piss and want to piss us off.

I woulden't give say Zico a bad reception. He's done nothing wrong. However Ashley, Lllambias and Wise certainly will get slaughtered and quite right so!

The buck stops with Ashley. He employed Wise in the first place. I've never liked Wise and thought it was a bad idea at the time.
-
I'm boycotting everything that Ashley could profit from in protest. Games, shirts, stores etc. I hugely disagree with what they have done in forcing Keegan out, so i would feel hypocritical supporting Ashley & Wise. If bloody Wise takes over as manager that will be the clingon on top of the shit. Can't see a really decent manager wanting no control over players comings and goings anyway. Just selling who they like. What a mess they've made of it. Maybe its Ashley's way of advertising in order to sell more quickly and make his quick profit.
