  1. https://www.bbc.co.uk/sounds/play/live:bbc_radio_newcastle You can wind it back to 7.05 when it starts if you like
  2. Souness is usually a great pundit tbf
  3. Couldn't we just sell him to some Saudi-based puppet club for £500m and then have them loan him back to us?

    Joelinton

Yep, me too, but on current form I don't think that happens

    Joelinton

Considering he really doesn't offer much apart from scoring (he's an out-and-out poacher/elite finisher), the fact he didn't score today says even more about the rest of the team. If we had Isak in there, we'd have been even more dangerous for what he brings to the team in the build-up. Love Wilson to bits, his goals have been vital for us, but I really want to see Isak start when fit. I think we'd be able to retain the ball even higher up the pitch and a lot more will 'stick' when played into him.
  6. Pinnock making sure that Wood doesn't score.
  7. Graeme Jones looking like Almiron's dad the way they approached each other off the field
  8. Howe's Joelinton'd Almiron. The lad couldn't get in the team for much of back-end of last season. Now look at him, wow. I'm so happy we don't have to play against him and that he's in our squad, and now on the pitch.
  9. Schar normally looks like he's ready to walk into a PlayGirl shoot, but today it looks like he's collided sideways into his missus' hairdryer
  10. One of Willocks best games since August this. Credit where it's due, he's laid on a couple of top passes and had some good runs too.
  11. I think @David Edgarthat some of us may be more inclined to weigh your opinions on merit, if you occasionally came out with some positive ones
  12. Aye, I prefer Targett there, but having Burn there allows us to have that back 3 on the ball and Trippier can basically become a right winger. It seems to be working really well.
  13. Are you mates with the user david edgar by any chance?
  14. Murphy with a shot on target, fk me what's going on
  15. Lonstaff leading the huddle, great to see
  16. Enjoy this lads, you're gonna be reminiscing about these times. We are living, right now, through the the halcyon days of the rebirth of our great club. Before the pressure of winning things becomes the norm, this is truly the best part of the journey. Hope, optimism, comradery are awash in not only supporters, but in the players and the staff from the top to the bottom. In years gone by, we'll be fondly remembering things like Almiron's almost back-to-back (a summer apart) goal of the season contenders, Bruno's Van Persie-esque diving header into the neat from a gut-busting run from half-way in the dying minutes. Trippier scoring every free kick he takes. A second-choice Brighton centre-back playing so well, he's keeping one of the most promising young defenders in the world on his toes. That we burned Gerrard with Targett for free while they were lumbered with Digne. Joelinton becoming Socrates for a few months. Bruno and Joe dying their hair blond together, JoeBru dying their hair white together. So many moments, so many experiences...
