I was alluding to the fact that the sack of shit still thinks he has some dignity

See Rafa.. and he'll see it as his 'escape with dignity' choice.

He won't be in charge when we go down, he'll be sacked before. But, as I've said several times during this season, he won't be sacked as long as Newcastle are 17th are higher, I'd put my house on it. He's only leaving by resignation/contract expiry/retirement whilst Newcastle are above 18th.
  4. Dunno why I thought immediately of the directors'/corporate boxes
  5. At the moment it's the Pardew 5th season all over again. We're winning despite Bruce's management and tactics, not because of him.

  7. I'd never have guessed, Boo Boy.
  8. There was a few matches I seem to recall, where all 3 were fit for once, which didn't happen often. And the debate on here was definitely split, but I felt Kluivert offered more with his clever flicks and movement than Shearer did in the build up play. Splitting hairs here because I'd bite my own arm off for someone who could hold up the ball like Shearer could today. Would loved to have seen more of Kluivert than Shearer that season though.
  9. I think only the most ardent of Shearer fans would disagree that Kluivert was better for the team than Shearer when he was here, it was an unpopular opinion at the time though. Agree would have been good to see more of him when he could actually run.

Not too sure, even Ancelotti's Everton aren't exactly tearing it up as I would have thought after the first couple of games this season.

Souček is an absolute god. I've read an article on how he came into football, and how he was overlooked in his junior years as having no outstanding qualities. Has the football brain of Einstein. Pleased to see them doing well for a change, nice to see a club moving in the right direction for once, knowing that'll it'll never be us under MA. It's like basking in their reflected glory.

  14. Dear lord, add a NSFW tag to that please.
  15. https://www.gov.uk/transfers-takeovers Edit 3: This new forum sucks at editing quoted messages, and quoting the incorrect text >.< Lack of TUPE wreaks of Ashley working in the grey areas of employment law once again. he can close the shop and make all staff redundant, if the owernship of the shop doesn't change hands and is closed as a business. Opening up the shop a month later under a different MA brand and not retaining the workers is illegal. But, closing the shop, selling the business to a new owner, then the new owners setting up shop again wouldn't AFAIK. Not a lawyere or an expert, just been involved in TUPE a couple of times.
  16. Strange that TUPE hasn't come into play here.

Dave New forum has seriously jankified his avatar though
  18. That's libel. He passes a lot, rarely loses the ball, and has a great goals to shots record as far as I know.
  19. If by mean 'he won't last', and 'sacked' you mean he resigns/walks away, sure. But no way is the club sacking him based on fan opinion and crowd noise, you do realise who runs us and how little they care?
  20. If Newcastle are above 18th after matchday 38, and Steve Bruce is in charge, he won't be sacked before Matchday 1 next season, I'd put my house on it. He's only leaving if he chooses to in that scenario.
  21. Would love it if Miguel retorted to Paul fucking Robinson about those disparaging comments.
  22. Well, that's what mutual termination is. Undoubtedly cheaper than sacking him outright, I guess it was too high for the club to negotiate from and 'walked away from negotiations' FM style.
  23. This is where we disagree - I believe he doesn't care about the profitability of the club at all. There have been no efforts during his ownership to grow revenue streams, which is backed up by year after year of accounts data. Everything is obfuscated to try to confuse. The reason for this football club to exist is to promote Sports Direct. It can do it much better in the PL than in the Championship. However, he is probably the least afraid of relegation he's ever been (if he ever really has been). In his tenure we've been relegated twice, and come back up twice. To him, this means it'll just happen again. The parachute payment will cover some of the losses, but he'd rather take the chance we won't get relegated to not have to pay anything at all. This is the man he is, and he has proved this time and time again. He doesn't want to sell, because he doesn't have to sell. The only scenario he will sell in my view is if all his other ventures finally go tits up and he needs to bail himself out once and for all, or someone comes to him with stupid amounts of money.
