  4. Gosh, he's a really quick judge of character. Taken a box cutter to the knees of two young English lads because they didn't run the extra 10 meters.

http://i.imgur.com/uv5yjx9.gif Didn't want to spend money so their solution was to extend the deal of their highest paid player for another year or two. A player who just so happens to be absolutely f***ing finished. Assuming Colo is on roughly 60k a week, we basically flushed 3m down the toilet when we gave Colo a new deal. Still though, better than spending 6 or 7 million on somebody who'd actually improve the team. Huge mistake. By replacing him you also replace the captain. It will only cause trouble. Colo might have to leave or be 120% professional and accept his delegation. Its difficult to sign a captain i guess? Should we sign a new captain in January. One who can play CB or DCM? Can´t see any candidates within our current squad... Please tell me I've missed the joke. I would love to be whooshed right now.
  6. Was behind his goal at Burnley when he did the flying save. Literally had this in my head at the time.
  7. I think it's safe to say that if we stay in the Premier League, Mike Ashley will never leave and we'll never compete again. If we went down to the Conference North there's a chance he will go, and a chance the club can go back up the leagues again to the PL and compete. I reckon there's more a chance of all the latter happening than Mike Ashley leaving on his own accord or selling up whilst we're still in the PL. For that reason alone I vote yes.
  8. Thinly veiled come and get me plea to Klopp. Aiming high.
  9. Seriously? HBA is in the same type as quality as the likes of Messi and Ronaldo? Jesus wept, he looks good because he is a good player playing in crap side in a crap league - he is no where near the quality of the others mentioned in this thread, miles off. 2-page quoteback, unoriginal. Your post is at best assumptive and shite from start to finish, changing criteria from one sentence to the next nailed it for me. Actually laughing.
  10. I'd honestly have HBA in there. Give him the freedom that Ibrahimovic gets and I'd bet he'd do just as well.

I'm maybe suffering from a bit of Stockholm syndrome, but I don't really think we can overestimate the damage done to the playing squad's mental strength and confidence after 4 years of Alan Pardew. There's enough horror stories out there about Pardew pre-Newcastle to make me think the worst. I think some players are genuinely broken and possibly won't recover - Tiote, Sissoko, Cisse, Gouffran (he really was useful up front for Bordeaux), Anita, Krul. Not withstanding the players that moved on that at least had some capacity to become a talent after seemingly broken by Pardew - Santon, Yanga-Mbiwa, Guthrie to name a few, probably forgotten some. The mindset of the squad is completely rotten, and the only way to get the squad to recover is to completely excise the players that re-enforce the hopelessness and apathy at the club - Coloccini, Tiote, Sissoko, Gouffran, Williamson, Cisse, Obertan, Anita, Taylor to name a few. I can't see our fortunes changing on the pitch unless this happens, or we get in a miracle man like Klopp, who is so above our station it's laughable, who can blank-slate the team. I feel McClaren is probably the best manager we, under the current regime, can ever get. Who the hell else is going to come here? If we had a proper board who put in place a proper footballing infrastructure, we could have a manager like De Boer over in a snap. But this won't happen. So what do we do, deride McClaren for not having the skills to turn around a squad with such a rotten core, worse than the Owen days, or support him? At the end of the day, everything is futile. Either give up and throw the towel in and switch off, or get behind McClaren, that's the only options I can see. Unless something happens to change the setup at board-level, what else can we do?
  16. We don't have the technical ability to place accurate forward passes that cut out opposing players, so we can't get the ball forward that way. We don't have anyone that can take the ball past someone except Perez, who is already up front and due to the previous reason doesn't get the ball anyway. The only other option is lump it long and hopefully he can do something that means we don't lose possession and lets the rest of our team gain some ground and push up a bit. As soon as opposing teams look to man mark him when we've got the ball at the back, we're going to be fcked again.

The whole sacking process still makes me chuckle, he's gonna have to vote on it and sit at the table with other the guys also voting

Isn't this kind of result normal, regardless of our situation? We always get a few of these every season now since Pardew shaped the squad and the mentality.
