  1. Been a liability for at least 3 seasons, surely thats the performance that finally means he wont be an automatic starter any more. Championship defender at best.
  2. How many times have we said that this season? 6? 7? Simply not good enough to win games in the PL.
  3. We have the worst away record in the league. 3pts from 9 games.
  4. Home matches: Burnley 0-0 (cup) Southampton 2-2 Leeds 1-1 Brentford 3-3 Norwich 1-1 Cambridge 0-1 (cup) Watford 1-1 Remaining home games: Everton, Villa, Brighton, Palace, Wolves, Leicester, Liverpool, Arsenal. Don't see us getting another 20 points now. Willock kept us up last season, we need another similar stroke of luck this time.
  5. 10. Simply not good enough. Only question is if we'll finish bottom.
  6. Right now, 8. Lose to Watford and i can't see anything but guaranteed relegation. Beat Watford and i'll go to 6.
  7. Right now, we don't have anyone in our squad that's likely to get another 6 or 7 goals (depending how long Wilson is out). With 19 games to go, considering Wood's PL stats there's a decent chance he'll do that. 6 or 7 goals from him could be the difference to us staying up.
  8. Everyone likes to refer to the teams we were better than and should have beat - but we didnt beat any of them. People still referring to us "picking up a win or two and picking up" yet we've been saying that for at least 6 weeks. Yes, we are 'only' 6 points from safety, but Watford 'only' need another 24 points from 24 games and they'll be safe. We 'only' need another 31. 31 points is minimum 8 wins IMO, coupled with 7 draws. Are we really likely to only lose 9 of our last 24? Its not over, but ever week that ticks by, is one less game to achieve our 'only' target. We somehow need 6 or 7 points before the New Year, or we'll be in a situation where we need 28 points from 18 games (Europa League qualification form), and just can't see us winning 7 or 8 of the last 18. Goes without saying, once again, we absolutely must beat Burnley.

    Sunderland

They out of the pizza trophy now then? Im lost with all the rounds, penalties in group games etc
  10. Just like Brentford and Norwich, this is another must win. We'll need a minimum of 9 wins in our last 24, goes without saying this needs to be one. If we dont win, i think even the most optimistic fan will have to accept defeat. Think we'll sneak it, 3-2. Pretty much impossible to see us keeping a clean sheet.
  11. I think we've been the luckiest Newcastle side i've ever watched the previous 2 seasons though, i often wished we'd had just a bit of that luck under KK and Bobby. Guess its finally time to be unlucky again.
  12. Most likely going to need 9 wins from our last 24 games. Chances of that happening?
  13. Genuinely don't see how anyone can vote less than an 8. Rock bottom after 14 games, winless all season including the cup, worst defence in the league, need to score twice to have a chance of getting anything etc. We've failed to beat any of our relegation rivals so far, and realistically need 31pts from our last 24 matches - top 8 form. It'll basically take at least 4 surprise results now, and i just don't see this team doing it. We needed 7 points minimum from Brentford, Norwich and Burnley, right now that'll be max of 5. 10 for me i'm afraid. More likely to sell in January, than sign any decent players - who will want to come?
  14. The accumulation of points - (true-faith.co.uk) Pretty well summed up there.

    Rafa Benítez

If Rafa had stayed and got the money Brucey blew that summer (~£70m) i'm pretty sure we'd have been close to Europe the next season. Sheff United were 5pts off it.
  16. Pretty much everyone has been in agreement since Howe came in that 7 points was the minimum requirement out of Brentford, Norwich and Burnley matches. Now all of a sudden people are saying 4pts from the next 2 would be alright. Anything less than 6 and we can forget it IMO.
  17. Norwich 2 wins and a draw in their last 3, NUFC winless in all 14 matches this season (inc the home cup match against Burnley). Anything less than a win and its over. 1-1.
  18. Before the Liverpool loss, their last defeat was in August?. They are in the same home form as Man City and Chelsea. Wish we were that hit and miss.
