  1. be made even better if sell the Yak n all. Mido and Aliadiere upfront...lol.
  2. Big Sams dietician won't be happy when they go to training tomorrow
  3. how unusual, was talking about Carroll's wheels in the pun just last night. Cost him £55k according to an ITK and he's on £6k a week
  4. His wiki: Mario Alberto Yepes Díaz (born January 13, 1976 in Cali) is a Colombian football player, currently playing as a central defender for Paris Saint-Germain. When Mario Yepes started his career with Cortulua, he was playing as a forward before Cortulua's coach converted him to a libero (sweeper). He really started his career in the club of the city where he was born when he was transferred to Deportivo Cali from Cortulua in 1998. He won two Colombian championships with Deportivo Cali. Then Yepes started to become well-known in his country and also abroad. In 1999, he joined CA River Plate, Argentina, where he became a star and won two Argentinian championships. In spite of the fact that several Italian and English clubs wanted to recruit him, he signed for FC Nantes Atlantique in January 2002 where his nickname was “El Rey”. He became one the best central defenders of the French first division and joined Paris Saint-Germain in 2004, where his nickname is "Super Mario" as a reference to his great defensive abilities. He is presently the most highly paid Ligue 1 player, earning 250,000 euros per month. Mario Yepes also plays for the Colombian national team with which he won the Copa America in 2001.
  5. indeed, there is nothing like basing your opinions on one performance when you're top of league.
  6. I would assume that this, along with the Drenthe deal which looks to be as good as done, puts an end to any interest in Robben. wouldn't be suprised if Drenthe was converted into a FB in a Roberto Carlos style of FB
  7. Spanish title race is going to be a good battle between Real and Barca it seems providing V.Nistelrooy stays fit

5.15 kick offs are a bad, bad idea for exactly this reason, too much drinking time, but Liverpool's fans yesterday were an absolute disgrace. I seriously doubt you'll be the last to say the same thing unfortunately tbh. Best fans in Europe tbh...
  10. maybe Mort is a massive Man United fan and its all a guise so he can get free tickets to go watch them
  11. Tough game to predict but i'll be happy with a draw and a decent performance.
  12. Haha, and Middlesbro' as well don't forget. What a day that was, us in the champs league and them two in the chumps league. In an ideal world we'll be the ones to send them down with a Chopra own goal or something stupid like that.
  13. Isaksson is very very average, but the prices talked about for Gordon are mental. Good keeper IMO, has impressed me everytime ive seen him espec for Sweden.
  14. Cant say i've noticed him on Sky but remember thinking Del Horno was ideal for Prem before his move to Chelsea which shows how much i know.I hope you're right mate though big time. Thought Del Horno was alreet myself like. Did no worse than Ash Cole/Wayne Bridge did last season
  15. I like the look of that, almost a completely new team. zero creativity in that team and no width
  16. its a friendly ffs, you don't play ur strongest XI for the whole match

    David Rozehnal

i went to Carlisle and thought he looked a class above the rest of the defence but he was playing next to Ramage and Carr so it doesn't say much. Seems to have composure on the ball which can only be a good thing.

    Emre must go.

I agree, we miss him when he doesnt play, particularly at home to teams that sit back as he is the one who drives us forward and makes us play through midfield instead of just humping it forward.
  19. I wonder if that was the special train that left after ours. We were on the 5:20, and it took nigh on 2 hours for us to get back. Talk about slow! Standing room only, and the cops on the outside kept telling people they had to move up the train but there was no where to move to. Bloody idiots! They just wanted rid of the NUFC fans asap. liar...it was 5 mins late after leaving late too allow(in my opinion )too many on,then waiting at prudhoe (i think )after someone pulled the chord.the guard said they were taking longer at each station to allow people a chance to fight through the crowd and get off.left carlisle about 5-25 arrived newcastle bang on 6 Aye it was, because at Prudhoe they didn't open the doors to let us off who wanted to get off there and train started to pull away again so the bloke pulled the brake, i was stood next to him, as he wanted to get off n all. Train i got after to come back into town for a night out had people getting soaked with the fire extinguisher, people pissing in the sink and standing on the table and all sorts. On a seperate note first time ive sat in the home end at an away match and i won't be in a hurry to do that again.
  20. bit of an arse, the a69 up that way is all single carriage n all, nevermind the trauma of having to step foot in Haltwhistle
  21. lookslike a shitty t-shirt you would expect to see the looky looky men on holiday selling.
  22. He's playing for 4th at a struggle. If we signed him, Heinze an equally good RB & Deco then i reckon we've got just a good a shout as Arsenal at 4th spot. Wouldn't underestimate Arsenal that badly. Providing they don't lose Fabregas they are still the same team as last seasons second half of the season which created a lot of chances that they didnt convert in most matches they didn't win (that i saw anyway, obv exceptions like game v us etc.) and Van Persie was just starting to hit top gear before he got crocked, plus Arsenal seem to perform better when they are being criticsed.
  23. I'll think you will find Earnie scored goals in the Premiership for both West Brom and for Norwich and i wouldn't be suprised to see him score 10+ goals for a poor (at the mo) Derby team next season. from wiki: He is second only to Thierry Henry in terms of goals-per-minute in Premiership history.
  24. Would pay through the nose to have a defender of his calibre here, not that he'd move (if he isn't happy playing for 3rd, he aint gonna be happy playing for 6th/7th)
