Allardyce managed to get the best out of players like Campo,Okocha,Djorkaeff,Hierro,N'Gotty when all of them were above 30

Great player but i doubt he has won the Uefa Champions league honour for best defender 2 times. We are talking about LB's.Maldini is mainly CB How many times did you watch him this season? He's barely played in the Madrid games I've seen. He's not getting any younger and wouldn't adapt to the English game for a while. Bearing in mind he won't come here without decent wages. Newcastle would be a step down for him, we need players that see this club as a step up to be honest. Agree with you about the last sentence although im sure Allardyce will motivate him and will get the best of him.I still think that Carlos will be great signing on a free if we can reduce his wage demands.
  3. Viduka Ben Haim Pizarro Luis Figo Roberto Carlos Sidwell All cost nothing. Add to that Campbell and the summer transfers are in the bag

I cant agree with you. Can you tell me some other LB who is playing at this high level for 10 years? If you tell me some other LB with this honour i will admit that he is overrated: UEFA Champions League Best Defender 2001-02, 2002-03 Can you?

No thanks to Carlos. If his wage demands are not too high i would take him every day of the week He is 34 and can play 2 years under Big Sam imo Top class player and one of the best LB in the last 10 years imo

    Planning

    Derek Wright out tbh

Bring Campbell and Ben Haim and some top class LB like Roberto Carlos and our back 4 will be solid next season.

    Senderos

As mentioned before, how does that theory work when Upson, Pennant and Sidwell have all been released by Wenger and come back to a good standard. I personally don't rate Senderos particularly highly but i think its important to come up with the correct reasons fornot wanting him. Nobody is perfect and Wenger doesnt make an exception. Maybe he made mistake when he released the players you mentioned but his judgement is more right then wrong. Actually i dont think Wenger will release Senderos.

    Senderos

If Wenger gives up on him then he isnt that good therefore i will look somewhere else
  11. Can someone tell me if Shepherd wants to buy Hall's shares some day from where he'll get so much money? How rich is he btw?
  12. Bramble because he is still better then that shit Ramage who is still at the club

    Want Diouf?

That wasn't the question. Would you want him here?=Yes,i would take him here.
  14. NUFC06

    5 released

Bramble needs new start and now he can have one. He has been here far too long making his famous mistakes. He was too inconsistent and that was his big problem. Still better then the shit Ramage though Good luck bear

    Want Diouf?

He is really talented player and Allardyce did wonders with him at Bolton I would take him.
  16. good back up for right-back, plus a class right foot in other words, he would be a good backup for Carr... tbh it will difficult for Geremi to dislodge Carr out of this position... Carr is solid Oh dear God... solid like shit or...
  17. NUFC06

    5 released

Moore was the slowest player in the Premiership Also i cant understand why people want to keep Sibierski? This old man has scored goal in every 4 games he played for us this season!!!! 4 games=1 goal :uglystupid2: I hope Big Sam will release him Also he said that he has players in mind that he want to bring so hopefully he wont wait too long for that. Our defence now looks like this: Solano/Carr------Taylor/Edgar--------Ramage/Huntington-------Babayaro We need 2 CB's and 1 LB
  18. NUFC06

    5 released

Sam you legend O0 Now we will need at least 2 CB's,1 LB Im sure that soon Ramage,Carr and Babayaro will be next Maybe not this summer but next summer when Carr and Ramage contracts are over Big Sam will release this shit from the club.

  20. Is this the bloke you have called a 'fat pig' on countless occasions? People do have short memories indeed they do, in fact weren't you calling him 'fat pig' yesterday nufc06? I seem to remember NUFC06 saying repeatedly that Eriksson was the only man for us - and that he had doubts about Allardyce's ability. Fickle isn't the word I said that i want Ericksson here ahead of Allardyce. Also i said that Allardyce is good manager. Im happy with Allardyce appointment I wouldnt be happy if we had appointed Houllier
  21. ...add to that the £1mil payoff for Roeder and the £9mil escape clause for Owen and he's still got a good way to go to get in my good books. Im not saying he is perfect but he handled the current situation magnificently
  22. I think that Roeder lost the dressing room totally at the end.Especially after the AZ game.
  23. Big Sam targets signings New Newcastle boss Sam Allardyce has confirmed to Sky Sports News that he hopes to tie up a number of new signings before his squad report back for pre-season training. It is expected to be a busy summer of arrivals and departures at St James' Park following Allardyce's appointment, with Newcastle chairman Freddy Shepherd ready to back his new incumbent. Speculation is already rife as to who Allardyce will attempt to lure to the North East, and while he admits signings could well be forthcoming, the former Bolton chief has hinted that he may hold a few surprises up his sleeve. Allardyce is eager to have his squad in place as soon as possible but it could be the case that a number of those brought in are not quite the household names, some of the club's faithful may be anticipating. "The most important thing is probably the recruitment of new players for next season as quickly as we can," he told Sky Sports News. "To come back for the pre-season with the majority of the squad in place is something I really hope can be achieved. "If we can start all together then it makes life a lot easier. "I think that there has always been funds available to bring in new players but what we have to do is make the right selection process, to make sure it is the right player, who wants to come to Newcastle and is capable of producing on this stage, on this wonderful stage at Newcastle. "And that's not always a big player. It could be someone who everyone else has not quite heard of, but there are plenty of players out there who could come here and come to the Premiership." It is also expected that Allardyce will make changes to the club's backroom staff but following what has been a hectic few days, he concedes it will take time before everything is put in place. "It's been a very, very hectic few days and the decision has now been made, hopefully it will be a very successful time for me, Freddy Shepherd and everyone involved at Newcastle United - pulling in the right direction. "You only have to look at the past in terms of recent years, I'm under no illusions. I'm under the same pressure as other managers who have been and gone and not quite achieved enough. I'm under the same pressures to deliver as soon as possible. "But my life is not about delivering instantly but also to build something sustainable. To buy some time initially I need to get the results. Then I can build the backroom staff and playing staff to get results. "Hopefully, I'll be able to get the same success as I have in the past four years at Bolton." Allardyce has not yet spoken to Michael Owen, the subject of intense transfer speculation of late, but he does not envisage any problems coming to light with regards the England man. "I haven't spoken to Michael but I'm sure that when I do he'll tell me exactly what issues he might have," Allardyce concluded. "For me, I would have thought the only issue he would have would be to stay fit and play for England over the summer - if he's ready, if he can produce his best, he might have to play that a bit carefully." http://msnsport.skysports.com/list.aspx?hlid=466824&CPID=8&clid=4&lid=&title=Big+Sam+eyes+signings This man is genius. Someone at last who knows what he is doing. He'll bring success to Newcastle.Im 100% sure
