Bollocks tbh. Roeder was PARTLY to blame for the defeat, but the players were equally to blame with their inability to string 3 passes together or close defend properly. There is so much bollocks being written in this thread that I'm sure Vic has been using a new account. Roeder decided to play Huntington at leftback....Huntington needed stitches in his arse at half-time he was so s***. Inside the first 10 minutes we all saw he was being targeted. Taylor played s***, should've got sent off and played and had a role in the first goal. Those 2 were worse on the night than Titus. Glen's tactics were atrocious.....we all know we can't defend, yet Glen insists on having a defensive mindstate when up against a team equally fragile at the back. And to top it all off, when we need a goal Roeder immediately removes all width. Glen was more to blame than any individual player on the pitch against AZ. BRAMBLE is pretty much Bramble at his worst in every game he plays. He only ever has 2 or 3 games a season where he doesn't make a c*** of himself and us. He's a laughing stock, and he makes us a laughing stock. Bramble needs to go but in all honesty he's put in many terrific performances for us... the above statement is tosh. Glen is a laughing stock, atleast Souness would stick to his guns once he had shot his dick off....Roeder is pathetic. Agreed, people seem to be unable to admit when Bramble has a good game because its Bramble. He has purple patches every season which show he has some ability to be a good defender he just can't do it consistantly enough which is why he will never be seen as anything other than average (at best). As much as i always have been optimistic about things i cant see how we are going to get something from Chelsea Our season is over,their season is just started especially after the Man Utd result I doubt we will get something from this I just hope that at least we try,give 100% and our clown manager to give some of the young lads a chance-Carroll

Bol****s. The manager puts the players on the field and they have to perform. In the games you are talking of (Birmingham at home, Fulham etc.), the players haven't performed. Sure the tactics are questionable, and sometimes theres an odd team selection, but at the end of the day the players haven't performed. Stats tell you very little, that you think they do means you should stick to golf. He's hopeless. He's on his arse half the game, he slows down our game like nobody I've ever seen because he has no reading of the game, anticipation or vision. He doesn't know what's around him until he's got the ball and takes a look, it's why he continually spins full circle. A quality player in his position often moves the ball straight on without controlling it, they act like a wall, the ball is moved on at speed with just one touch because they know what they're going to do before the ball even reaches them. Also, I believe that you (maybe not literally you, but the Parker hating bandwaggon) have been saying all season that Butt's passing is superior to Parkers. You CANNOT argue with the stats that says Parker is the better passer. Yes I can argue with daft stats that show Parker can pass better than Butt because stats don't tell you anything about the pass. The passing ability of Butt is not the best but it is vastly superior to that of Parker. Butt often does exactly what I've just described above, he regularly moves the ball on quickly. Parker hardly ever moves the ball on without taking about 3 touches at least, it is simply not good enough. That he can accurately find someone probably no more than a few yards away after that 3rd touch doesn't mean he is a quality footballer. That Parker puts in more tackles than Butt doesn't show he's a better tackler, it just shows he has to tackle more often, which rather than saying he's a better tackler could just as easily mean his reading of the game and anticipation are worse than Butt. There are all kinds of ways to interpret stats and people will interpret them the way that suits their argument, which is why they should in the main be ignored. The best way to judge is to just watch the football and leave the stats to those who don't really have a clue. Considering your conclusion and your opinion about Parker i have to say that you really know too little about football. I dont want to get boring with this but i said this in the other thread about "regretful sales" From his words i start to think that he never wanted to leave Newcastle Why the hell then the manager and the board sold him alongside Ginola who the same season when he was sold became Player of the Year in the Premiership Ferdinand and Shearer could have had played for some 3-4 years more and from their only one season together they proved that they are one of the greatest attacking partnerships this club has ever had... The Board's bizarre and incompetent decisions have cost us too much...

My observation is that Howaythelads hates Scott Parker with passion greater then his passion for NUFC I dont know why but every time when he has the opportunity he is criticising Parker saying how shit he is and he needs to be sold asap. Its obvious that he has the required abilities to be a top DM and this season's poor form is maybe because of Roeder's incompetent coaching methods and the fact that he doenst know where exactly is Parker's strongest position on the field. Im sure that under the right management Parker will prove that he is top class Premiership player. Dont forget that he is our captain and whether we like this or not and whether he is the right man for this role or not at least we can show some support...

Im not really impressed with Emre's career so far here at Newcastle Alot of the time during the season he is injured and when he plays he is nothing special.His set piece is shocking Alot of people were praying for his return but that was mostly because we have two similar players in the middle playing together who cant do anything creative.Emre has the creative ability but so far he didnt show anything worth remember and also his defensive style of play is at very low level.He always rushes into players when they have the ball and he is eliminated immediately. And why the hell Bayern Munich would want him is beyond me

I think those 2 lines highlights what is wrong with Newcastle's planning currently. Roeder has several targets and he's watching one game? It's too much of a job for just one man to line up prospective signings and prepare the first team squad for the upcoming matches, and Roeder doesn't have the staff who he can delegate the jobs to. In the last 16 days Comolli has been to 9 different countries, including Argentina, Brazil (twice), Spain, Portugal and Bulgaria as well as England and Scotland. Much is just checking on players first hand but there is a lot of optimism about signing a Brazilian and Levski Sofia's 18 year old striker Atanas Kurdov, who's scored over 30 goals this season, comes over in the next couple of weeks to look around and train with the first team squad for a week. Getting the setup right to recruit the right players in the window is more important than finding some players to sign without the right setup imo. You might sign a decent player but was there a better option out there for Newcastle? Without the right setup in place, Roeder will never know. I agree with you that you need DOF to handle this sort of tasks.I always though that Tottenham are going in the right direction when it comes to watching young talents,watching alot of promising players all over the world.So far Newcastle didnt do anything like this and i think its a big mistake because if we have someone famous as DOF who has alot of connections and knowldege about European football this will help enormously when it comes to signing young talents. About Atanas Kurdov im from Bulgaria and i know alot about our bulgarian talents and i must tell that i would be very surprised if you sign Kurdov.Why?Because i dont think he is anything special.He is pretty much overrated.He has enormous confidence and is pretty much because his father was famous football player and he things he is something special. When it comes to real talent i think Marian Ognyanov is one of the biggest talents in Bulgarian football.He is only18 years old and scored the only goal for Levski in the Champions league.
