  1. neither of the 3 things would happen imo I agree about the first 2 points though We need to replace Roeder asam otherwise we will be mid table team for the next season We need some creative midfielder.Im not too sure but i think some of his season here Robert had above 10 assists and the same amout of goals We need some player who can play as AM I dont think we need to sell Martins or Owen Nobody can be sure how this partnership will work
  2. True legend I hope he can become our top appearance player of all time And ultimately i wish him to win a trophy with us before he is retired
  3. Who are this 14 managers? 1.Hiddink 2.Lippi 3.Riikard 4.Juande Ramos Can someone add the other 10 if they can?
  4. BRAMBLE is pretty much Bramble at his worst in every game he plays. He only ever has 2 or 3 games a season where he doesn't make a c*** of himself and us. He's a laughing stock, and he makes us a laughing stock. I mean Bramble can do some excellent things during a game then throw it all away with somethng stupid. Ramage will play poor the whole game then make it even worse by gifting them a goal or 2. I don't think Ramage is any worse than Shambles. They are both game-losers. Ramage's mistakes cant be made even in the conference games
  5. Bol****s. The manager puts the players on the field and they have to perform. In the games you are talking of (Birmingham at home, Fulham etc.), the players haven't performed. Sure the tactics are questionable, and sometimes theres an odd team selection, but at the end of the day the players haven't performed. Roeder can be blamed for some things, but he can't be blamed for players not being able to string two passes together, and very poor finishing, and for stupid defensive mistakes. hahahahahaha Hilarious stuff If its not Roeder's fault then who's fault is it? Maybe Derek Wright?? No offence mate but you dont understand the basic principles of the football game Go on then, enlighten me with your supreme knowledge. Because I was always taught when I played football at school that it's my responsibility to kick the ball to a team mate. I didn't realise that it was in fact my coaches fault when I misplaced a pass or didn't find space to be passed to. I'm sorry mate, but you are deluded if you think our poor performances are solely down to Roeder. First you cant compare your football in school with the one we are talking about Second its the managers responsibility in every training to teach the players to play the way his manager's philosophy is about football-atacking football, defensive football, long ball football, physical football, passing football etc.etc. Third when we talk about players who play in the premiership there is no question that they have the abbility to pass the ball. And then when our team cant pass the ball 2 times and our players look like s*** its not their fault Its the managers faultAt the end of the day the managers get the fault when their team cant perform You still make no sense. Roeder isn't stood on the touchline with a Playstation controller pressing Square instead of X. What exactly doesnt make sense to you?
  6. Are you joking?? I'll go Owen only if the offer is something like this: Brown+Heinze+5m=Owen=15m Yes, actually he's already explained he was joking. FFS. Are you his lawyer or what? No, just solicits for me on at the weekends. BTW, it's a joke.................. even if it is a poor one!

  8. So... Its not like we had any chance with him coming here as our manager

  10. I hope that means that Roeder hasnt given up on Charlie 100%
  11. OK, if you are right, and he's not using him as a scapegoat aswell, then why, when we are in need for defenders for the Chelsea game is he bringing back his scapegoat rather than the lad he is just 'protecting'? And these are Roeders comments after the AZ defeat. "Shay Given is a top-drawer keeper but he does not get the protection he should get," said Roeder. "He is exposed far too easily. "Too many defenders make too many mistakes that cost us. "They do well, you are happy with them and you think they have learned. "Then 'bang!' - they go and make the same mistake again and let you down." No mention specifically of Bramble. What I'm getting at is that he hasn't publically slammed Bramble himself, which is what people were trying to say earlier. He has obviously used him as a scapegoat by not playing him, I don't dispute that, and rightly so, but he hasn't come out and slated him directly in the press. Therefore, with today's quotes, he isn't backtracking on anything. He is handling it quite well by using his reserve performance as the reason that he's back in the frame. Even some 8 years child will find out that he is talking about Bramble
  12. It was when we were playing in some pre-season tournament at Goodison Park. The Ferdinand deal was all but agreed the day before we played - then Shearer got injured - the directors tried to pull the plug, but Les decided that he had given Spuds his word, so went ahead with the transfer - doubt you could blame him really. As you say, him and Shearer were an Awesome partnership scoring 40 or 50-odd goals between them the season before - but I think he had a few injuries in the run-in, and when Tottenham offered what we had payed for him, the board decided to cash in - never mind what was best for the team. And our main forward that season once Shearer was injured - Jon Dahl Thomasson. Ultimately another of the boards brilliant managerial decisions Tino Asprilla was the other striker i think Can you remember any reasons why we sold Ginola?
  13. When there is bad results in 1-2 games you can blame aswell the manager and the players But when you are playing football like crap all season you cant blame the players Its the manager's fault If you cant acccept that then you are living in some other planet
  14. Les Ferdinand-he was one of the best strikers here and his partnership with Shearer was pure class.Like someone else said its completely out of my mind why the hell we sold him considering the fact that Shearer was injured for the most of the season.Im not too sure maybe Shearer got injured after we sold him but nevertheless their partnership was awesome and he played alot more year after that. David Ginola-again he was one of our best players during KK's time.I cant understand why Kenny Dalglish decided to sell him.Maybe it wasnt his decision but it was fatal mistake as it has proved after that.He won PFA Players' Player of the Year and FWA Footballer of the Year award with spurs the same season.Huge mistake imo Craig Bellamy-he was/is one of the best strikers in the game imo. With his pace and runs he is always big danger to the opposition's defence and his partnership with Sheaerer was really prolific. After we sold him he showed his class with Blackburn scoring alot of goals for them and he is doing the same now with Liverpool too.Class player but awful personality.SBR managed to handle him though
  15. Roeder hasn't ever come out and blamed anything on Titus or said that he is the scapegoat (the people on this board and in the press have jumped to those conclusions). He has just left him out. But... he has also left out Ramage, who has been fit for about a month now. So let's be fair... both of them have been made scapegoats. Are you on glue or what? Roeder said that the defence was to blame for the defeat. That defence was Solano-Titus-Taylor-Huntington From this 4 who do you think Roeder was refering to? I think it was obvious that it was Titus About Ramage im almost sure that he will be here next season.Even when he made his shocking performances against Bolton and West Ham Roeder didnt say anything wrong about him Bollocks tbh. Roeder was PARTLY to blame for the defeat, but the players were equally to blame with their inability to string 3 passes together or close defend properly. So i guess its also players fault that we lost to Fulham twice, get beaten by Birmingam 5:1,lost to Shefield Un,Charlton,Man City etc.etc Do i have to continue...
  16. Agree with you. Instead of making so much noise about 150,000k he should realise and he should see that this club is going in the wrong direction under this clown manager and should start looking for the right manager Shepherd is as clueless as Roeder
  17. Ramage is even worse then Bramble but its obvious that Roeder has some players which he never criticize no matter what performance they put. Bramble is the scapegoat because he was doing his mistakes for years now and he did it again in the most important game of our season. Taylor was no better in that game but when you compare their performance this season i think Taylor was more solid then Titus, also he scored a couple of important goals and he can develop considering his age. Its time for Titus to go but its really sad as Jon said that players like Ramage are not in the big picture of players who must leave too. Some of his performance were the most shocking i've ever seen in the level of the premiership.I guess because he is local lad he is getting away with this. Also i agree completely with kojak.Roeder put the blame on his players especially the defence when it was obvious that Roeder was to blame for the performance against AZ. Roeder has lost it...
  18. I had rather play Hunty or Edgar Titus must go in the summer and i hope whatever performance he produce against Chelsea that wont change Roeder opinion on him

Didnt he broke his ankle against us when Shearer tackled him at St James Park during FA Cup game? If im right it was very unfortunate for him and you cant call that injury prone player Injury prone is someone like Babayaro who after 2-3 games gets hamstring and groin problems. And that repeats the whole season long
  20. I've seen too little of Sidwell to have any strong opinion about him but seeing what the Reading fans think about him and the fact that alot of other players have done good job in their first season in the Premiership dont you think that he might be one season wonder??

Howay man, let's try and keep things even partially realistic if we're going to give our opinions on signings. I could quite happily say: "release Bramble, Moore and Onyewu and bring in Rio Ferdinand, Terry and Woodgate" but it's fairly pointless as it's extremely unlikely. As others have said, it makes sense that GVB would want to head home at this stage of his career and like others I'm not convinced he'd do well over here anyway - plus he doesn't exactly fit Roeder's "blueprint" of the type of player we should be bringing in (not that I'm expecting us to buy no players 25+). To me it seems like we'll be sniffing around Bale and Baines, along with bundles of other clubs, despite the fact the chances of getting the former can't be great. It will be interesting to see how much Wigan would ask for Baines, like. Although I can see us ending up with Bridge as a sort of "last on our list" sort of thing. He fits the mould of our recent policy perfectly: Chelsea castoff, injury prone, will only come here for his mates and the money, then Glenn can claim he has "everything to prove" after leaving Chelsea to come North. Just like Damien Duff has done. Once upon a time I was extremely enthusiastic about bringing Bridge in, but now I can't see it as being anything other than another dodgy signing. He's undoubtedly a better option than anything we have, but him staying fit, performing to our expectations and settling here is nowhere near nailed-on. Only unrealistic thing i said is signing Van Bronckhorst Yes i agree with you that he is getting old and maybe it will be better for him to retire in Holland Releasing Babayaro will be logical considering that he is our most injuryed player in our squad We have been linked with Bridge for a long time and it wouldnt be great surprice if we sign him I have great doubts about to whether we sign Bridge or Baines. Maybe you are right saying that Bridge will be another Duff but we will never know until he plays for us I havent watched Baines in many games so i cant have any strong opinion on him. Bridge on the other hand has big experience and is pretty solid solution to our LB problems The other thing that matters is the price Wigan would want at least 6-7m for Baines and i think Chelsea would be willing to let Beidge for less
  22. You don't see Blackburn playing a match with heads down, whereas you see this regularly in Newcastle Roeder spent 15M during the transfer windows on Martins, Duff, Sibierski, Bernard, Rossi, Srnicek and Onyewu. Roeder sold Faye, Boumsong, Bowyer, Chopra for 9.3M, net spending 5.7M. Hughes spent 11.5M on Ooijer, McCarthy, Nonda, Roberts, Samba, Warnock, Dunn, Henchoz, Jeffers and Brener. Mark Hughes sold Dickov, Bellamy, Douglas, Kuqi, Matteo, Neill, McEveley for 10.6M. Net spending 900k. Newcastle 34 games 41 pt, for 37 against 43. Blackburn 32 games 40pt, for 38 against 47. Newcastle have injuries problems Blackburn have equally disturbing injuries. Roeder more impressive than Hughes? Someone just says fans are stupid, indeed. Hughes is miles better than our clown Roeder
  23. I would support some club that plays nice atacking football and most important i like clubs that plays young players and their politics is to develop young talents

Release Babayaro and bring Bridge and Van Bronckhorst here
  25. Its obvious to everyone that Duff and Martins didnt sign for us because of the great and top class manager which is Glenn Roeder but because of money,we are rather big club(52,00 attendance),and other different circumstances. I wouldnt be surpiced if Woodgate turns us down because our manager is completely unknonwn to the football world and he cant learn anything under his management as a player Im sure that Woodgate learn alot under SBR,but SBR is notorious everywhere around the world and is proven manager Roeder on the other hand has managed the likes of Gillingham,Watford and West Ham so far in his career. The worlds top class managers play huge role when it comes to signing players because every player want to be manged by the best managers in the world
