Im thinking the same way you are. IMO at the moment Spurs are far better team than us.Maybe as individuals we are equal but as a team they are better. They play fantastic football and are going in the right direction. And although i hate them as much as you do i cant deny the fact that they have overcome us as a club

This is what ruins threads. Nobody throws in a post praising how well the board has done in a thread like this, yet here we see a classic example of a post that is likely to start it all off again. I will say again. There is no guarantee that a takeover will result in..... 1. Selection and appointment of the RIGHT MAN as manager. 2. Adequate backing in the transfer market of the RIGHT MAN by the new owners. If there was a guarantee I'll be all for it, but there isn't. Both 1 and 2 are required to give any club a chance plus some luck along the way. If you think that way we may be stuck with Shepherd forever because we are going to be afraid of the takeover In football as in life there is no guarantee for things It wasnt guaranteed that Martins should adapt to english football too. That doesnt mean that we shouldnt have signed him The only thing that is guaranteed for everyone is that we will die one day For the rest you never know what will happen

And thirdly every game he is playing with different partner in the defence He dont have any synchronization with the other players he is playing at the CB That is very important in football especially in defence I think this fact is one of the reasons he is not showing his true values so far Yesterday with Moore they were pretty disorganized and it was obvious that they are playing for the 1st time Charlton should have scored at least 3 more goals

Whatever players we sign in the summer it wont matters because we need good manager to coach them Im almost 100% convinced that if we sign some good players in the summer and we have all of our players fit even then Roeder will be poor manager and we wont get any results. We'll be mediocre like we are now The manager is the most important think in football imo If we want to change our situation its not up to signing new players its up to changing the manager I hope there wil be some change in the summer and Roeder will go otherwise we will be at the same place where we are right now When i think what Keane has done with Sunderland i think that Shearer wont be so bad choice He has enormous influence with the players. They will respect him alot more than Roeder imo and i think Alan can get the best from everyone. He'll be great motivator and also can bring quality players because he is notorious. The only question is that- is he ready to be manager at this high level

I think Moore-Gooch partnership today was shocking
-
He was poor today along with the other 9 players out there(except Given) Its starting to show though that at times he is too slow to compete with the pace of the Premiership
-
The style of play or should i say the lack of style of play we are demonstrating is starting to remind me about when we were under Souness Roeder is utter shit
-
Another 90min of agony
-
If i say thats good for us will someone say to me it doesnt matter anyway?

Struggling to think of good English managers in recent history tbh.. Ian Dowie What? He is the new Alex Ferguson ;D
-
Not so sure about Mellberg but i'll take Hyypia He has couple of years left so i think he will be good addition to our defence

SBR was proven manager Roeder is a joke We are not going to develop under him

You don't seriously believe that do you? Thought it was just Sky that state that... really that's worse than all those that sing "we are the loyalist football supporters" and actually believe it. Sub-30,000 attendance for a big 'last 16' UEFA Cup game kind of devalues that opinion. Agree your point on Shepherd though, after such a 'right manager at the right time' choice in SBR he has seriously f%&ked up time after time ever since. Yes i do believe that every away game in the premiership we have around 4000-5000 fans supporting the team I still remember the Champions league game against Inter at San Siro when there were 10 000 geordies Thats only my personal opinion of course
-
Why im under the impression that Shepherd is behind the failure of the Belgravia and Polugon bids! He wants to take full control so he can be in charge as long as possible there were no bids to fail, get your story straight My point was that maybe he is behind the failure of some possible deals with Belgravia and Polygon to happen

He's a capable coach, based on what? Based on the fact that we're hardly in a relegation dogfight. I'm not going to list the reasons why i think he's a decent coach and is possibly a decent enough manager, partially because i just don't know. I just don't feel that we need to go through a managerial change. Things take time, that's all. We're still in a transitional period. I'm happy to see him given the time to use the summer to do what he has to do. If he fucks up again, i'll be slating him bigtime, because we'll go nowhere. But things aren't crucially bad at the moment, and unless they are come a certain period of next season, i'd like to see him see out his contract. I don't see a clear and desperate need to sack him. You have your opinion and you have mine. The managerial criteria at newcastle these days is:if you keep us from relegation fight you are capable coach :uglystupid2: We've been pushing for Europe most of the season until now, tbh. We are 6 points of 6th place and 6 points from 16th place Couple of defeats and you will change your opinion of Roeder for sure
-
Ben Haim i think he is Sweeper kind of CB (yes him if we ready to get rid Taylor)... Lucas Neill not CB.. no no not Anton! (worst than Bramble tbh) I think Lucas Neil can play at CB And why do you want to get rid of Taylor??? as usual you have badly missed the point and used this as an excuse to insult someone, no need mate What did i say to insult someone? what was the point that i missed? And why as usual?

This season its not disaster for the fat pig because he waits to buy Hall's shares and then he will be our chairman forever This situation suits him We are not in a relegation fight but we are still aiming for Intertoto!@!@ He hired cloun as a manager which he can control as much as he wants If people are angry about how bad this season is all the fault will go to Roeder If you ask Shepherd about this season he will say how well we did with all the injuries we had the same shit as always the fat pig is the cancer of this club
-
I think this is Roeder's most shocking comment so far as a newcastle manager Yes the defence played bad but before the Boro game we havent been able to keep clean sheet for about 15 games or more.Everybody knows that our defence is shit and this season they played alot worse games like the one againt AZ. Against Birmingam we lost to a championship side, conceding 5 goals at home. I think after that game Roeder had more right to critise the defence not against AZ I think his point blaming the defence was to get the fault of his chest and put it to the defence He knew that if we get out of the UEFA cup our season is over so after the game he put the plame to our defence Given,Solano,Bramble,Taylor,Hunty From this 5 i think the one who will get the real blame is Bramble.I think Roeder after that game lost all kind of faith on him and he will be out in the summer for sure imo I cant understand why he didnt change anything after AZ scored the 2nd goal? He is a joke and cant take risks. He is utter shit Against Tottenham at the end of the game Mourihno was playing with 3 strikers-Shevchenko,Drogba,Kalou and also SWP and Robben.Thats what i called taking a risk.We all know what Chelsea did at the 2nd half I think if Roeder was man enough he should have said that AZ outplayed us and the whole team was poor not just the defence To sum it up i think Roeder is mouse and cant be man enough to say the truth
-
we don't want someone who's only ever played for Wolves or Celtic, I mean they're s*** clubs so he must be s*** /NUFC06 we should only be going for top 4 players who have just signed contracts, we're better than them I just think that we should be looking for someone who is more proven thats all and i dont think this guy will resolve our problems at LB

if ayala couldn't make an impression on taylor et al in the 1-2 years he'd be there then at least we'd know they weren't good enough right now we're in limbo 'cause we've got a load of young lads who MIGHT be good enough but we'll never know 'cause they're forced to play with fucken comedians week in week out i made this point a while back - taylor didn't make basic, stupid mistakes when he first started playing in the team but time spent with bramble and so on has taught him bad habits....edgar will follow suit unless there is someone teaching him how to defend on the pitch Aye agree with you When you play with good players 1st its more easy 2nd you are more relaxed and feel more secured and 3th you can always learn something from the good and experienced players
-
why do you even give a s***? he's free to do as he chooses. Am I not allowed on here either because I support Derby? fackinell. Because its not normal to spend more time into someone elses team forum rather then the team you support It shows that you have some mental problems The spuds fan writes here even when his team is playing I dont think thats normal Only my humble opinion of course Everyone have the right to do what he wants
-
Ayla has alot of experience and would be good mentor for the young lads He is class defender no doubt about that Im concerned about his age though He is 33 i think He can play no more than 1-2 years
