    The Walking Dead

This thing has always been overly preachy. If it goes all god-bothering again that might be enough for me to finally sack it off for good. Since it came back after xmas every episode had been turbo-shit and it wasn't exactly good beforehand!

    Better Call Saul

Tv threads have always gone at the pace of the original broadcaster. Yeah it's fair enough, regardless of dem rules though I think people need to be mindful that many won't be watching the show until at least a day later and restrain from openly talking about massive plot points so soon after/during the US airing. "That was great, I loved the way blah blah blah" is fine imo, but "HOLY SHIT I CANNOT BELIEVE HE DIED" should be spoilered until people have a chance to catch up. It stops people from accidentally clicking the thread and having the show completely ruined for them. I'm all for people being courteous, but once the episode airs and what happens is officially out there the responsibility for not spoiling it switches from those who might have been itk about it to those who haven't seen it yet. There has to be a line somewhere and the only workable one is at the time of original broadcast. Otherwise it's a question of how long we have to wait for any stragglers to catch up before we can talk about it openly, one hour after it's released in the U? Two? The following day? It's too hard to manage and we can't have the whole thread in spoiler tags, that would be a huge pain in the arse. Also, it's much more likely that someone will accidentally spoil something for themselves if they get used to having to open spoiler tags just to read normal episode discussion. The more I think about it the more I think that it's best if only actual spoilers are spoilered and episode discussion is done out in the open. After all it's no longer really a spoiler one it's been shown on TV.

Usual spoiler policy, ie the moment it's been broadcast anywhere you can talk about it in here without spoiler tags. If you somehow know something for a fact about what's coming up in later episodes then that needs spoilering with a warning in your post so that those who don't want to know can choose not to open it. So if you're watching at UK pace beware of coming in here before you've watched it on Tuesdays. I'd agree, but the thread title is misleading atm. How'd you mean? Well at the time it said S01E02, when we're 2 days gone from that in the US. Should probably just sack off the episode number. I'll try and keep on top of it.

At least a waddle might be amusing.

I thought I saw Gus in the lawyers office and I thought I saw someone else this episode but I can't remember who. Just me?

    Charlie Brooker

It's the next-door neighbour from House of Fools - if you'd not already sussed that out.
  10. Thought the officials were particularly poor today, numerous incorrect decisions against both teams, but the majority went against us. It didn't help that Stoke were a disgrace, throwing themselves to the floor at every opportunity too. Hardly needs saying, but Obertan, what the fuck? It's stunning just how easily we seem to panic for no apparent reason and throw games aways on a regular basis. Carver clearly doesn't know what he's doing with regard to substitutions and game management in general. If we're going to have to put up with this for the rest of the season then they better have someone seriously good in the summer. It's going to be a nerve wracking few months waiting for us to be safe from relegation, it better be worth it!
  11. Watched it last night and whilst I enjoyed it and found it enlightening - as always - I think it could have done with being a fair bit shorter and more tightly edited. There's a lot of superfluous montage that could have been cut and the same story could have been told in a much shorter amount of time without losing any of the detail. I think it's not surprising that his most densely packed and quickest moving work - namely, The Power of Nightmares - is also his best. I still loved Bitter Lake, but I get the impression that people who aren't as much of a fanboy as I am might find it a bit slow and get bored before the end. It's closer to the sort of semi-art-installation stuff that he's done with Massive Attack, than it is to the likes of TPON.
  12. Only managed one episode, by all accounts it got better but wasnt my cup of tea. You've been misinformed, it gets progressively worse and worse, by the end it was woeful. I only watched to the finish out of habit.
