Table is not looking too bad for us now really. Hopefully we can find some proper momentum and consistency going forward. There will be so many teams higher up that will drop points here and there during the season, perhaps more often than earlier seasons. Never been worried about our home form. Sort out our away form to a decent degree at least and we will climb the table. Our best is yet to come in the league. Do well and then strengthen in January with one or two players and we can kick on.

I’m hoping for two draws today.

Great to have him back looking more fit and gaining confidence game by game. I’ve talked a lot about our CM lacking any sort of playing depth with the distance between midfield and Isak being too vast making him too isolated at times. Same goes for our other midfielders. Having that bit of playing depth for the likes of Bruno, Tonali and SL helps a lot by having another option closer more centrally which makes us more progressive and unpredictable. I think Willock is especially great in this more attacking role when there’s space and lots of transitions. Having said that, I don’t think he offers as much against deeper defending compact teams. Not a priority, but one day I’d like to see us getting another more attack minded CM that offers something slightly different from midfield. Someone in the mould of Sudakov for example. Think this would give our midfield even more versatility and balance and options. Let’s hope JW can stay fit because he really makes us more dynamic just by being more attacking naturally, therefore giving us more playing depth. Never mind what he offers in transitions.

Speaking of Frankfurt. Anyone seen much of Omar Marmoush? Looks like a very exciting and versatile quality player from the little I’ve seen.

Never watched AFTV before. Had no idea that Forest Whitaker was a massive fan. Luckily they didn’t get their “revenge” like he thought they would.

Looks like we spent most of our summer cash for the Paul Mitchell adverts in this game.

Whatever we get next, technical ability has to be at a very high level. Preferably technical players with good physical attributes as well of course.

Feels like 6 points gained today because we beat Arteta the twat.

He was very good today, did well against Chelsea B too so fair play. He can be good and important, but theres also been tons of times when he’s been shocking. He’s a very functional cog in the system when he’s at his best even if somewhat limited in other areas of his game.

Wood really is in his natural habitat at Forest.

Easily our player of the season so far. Sky is the limit. He will be even more class once we get better in possession overall.

Fantastic cross and good in general too. Contributed massively defensively too with a couple of really important moments. Most importantly, it’s great for both him and us that he did really well on the right. Could easily become a mentally tough thing if things don’t come off for him in a position he doesn’t prefer. No doubt this will make him even more positive to the idea of playing there.

Think you might be overreacting a bit too. Just like maybe ONE/TWO about Tonali not starting.

I think we should have started Tonali unless risk of injury/knackered. Which I doubt. It’s quite a while until next game too.

I wanted Tonali to start. Too many games in a short period of time? But still… Rather annoying.

3-2 with a very controversial end where Joelinton gets a red for taking off Havertz’s head and passing it to Nick Pope who kicks it outside the stadium. 5 minute VAR check and red card rescinded.

Stupid to write him off! Equally stupid to expect him to make them one of the best teams in the league as well. It will be a tough job but it could go any way really. Since when does it work to judge managers “on paper” ? It’s so much about fit/timing. He’s a talented manager.

Players like DCL is the everything that we shouldn’t be going for no matter what. Everything opposite of him is what we should/will be looking to do!
