I guess you can compare a Newcastle fan with a physically abused wife. She wants to believe his husband when he says that he will never hit her again, and somehow she probably knows that he will do it, but she still chooses to believe in him because she wants to believe in it. And over and over again she gets disappointed when it doesn't work. Thats like us dreaming about some of the players mentioned around in this forum. Haha FFS i seriously need some sleep!!!!

Hehe, no Gejon, not even near that kind of money i cant imagine atm anyway. A while ago he played really well for his club in france and also for the national team and there were rumours that Toulouse wanted silly money for him. Then there was many clubs interested in him so i guess they put a high price on him. But if a club put in a bid of like around £8m for him now i think that club would get the offer accepted..

Not good enough for the first team imo, as a squad player he would be nice to have..

I can mention alot of realistic (worth a shot) players for most positions that would strengthen our team/squad. But a centre forward that is available and we might be able to get who can play in Vidukas role is alot more difficult. (if we want quality i mean)

Guardiola doesn't want Henry, Toure at Barcelona (tribalfootball, i know) Too bad if true that we wouldn't be able to attract someone like Toure here, "Would" of been a perfect replacement for butt and ten times better..If he's available i can see Arsenal going for him, would be perfect for them next season

He's not "Exceptionally" good in the air, and it's not like he's intelligent in the same way as Kluivert, Bergkamp. He's a team player that runs alot, and has lots of movement and works hard for the team, and quite a good finisher.

Very good player imho. Injury prone - yes. But some of his injuries are down to bad luck. Well i said that i think he's a good player. But i still think we should sign a player with "less injuries and better luck"

I agree, i would love to have someone "like" Kluivert (when he was in good shape) instead..

I dont think that Etoo has been any good lately, looked far from his best this season, but of course he could still get back to his best..

Ashton is injured too often, better to look at other options imo..

Why do people want Ashton?? Good player but injured waaayy too much. Better going for other players instead imo.

Offer Arsenal Zoggy+£6m for Diaby. Would love to have Diaby at Newcastle but that probably wont happen though..

How are we gonna afford to sign two strikers if we sell Viduka and we are going for quality players?? Keep him and go for one striker like him but with some more movement and pace. Imo Carrol cant be our first choice for back up to the new striker if we get rid of Viduka. And keep Butt, but i would still like to see us going for a younger DM who's a better ball player, one for now and the future.

How much do you guys think we can get for Zoggy?? Dont think we can get as much before =( maybe around £5-6m?

Manuel Fernandes would be a good signing for us to replace one of our midfielders if we go 4-3-3 next season also. Wouldn't cost too much since he hasn't played much at all and Valencia have financial problems, and him we could get if we want i think. Was really good in the PL whenever i've seen him. Also young and one for the future who wouldn't cost a fortune. A safer bet than someone like Veloso, and probably alot cheaper and he already knows the EPL and has done pretty well there. I would go for him to replace Geremi or Barton. And try to find a younger better passing DM than Butt and a really creative AM.

Would absolutely love it if we could get David Silva or Villa, but it wont happen, every top club in europe will be after him and Villa.

Upwards of £5m and they can have him. He's been around the ages but never seems to get any better. First team football hasn't really brought him on at all this season. A move to Villa would be a decent deal all round. I agree, if we can get something like £6m+ i would sell him...

So because Bilic said it, it must be true? That's like me saying Steven Taylor is one of the best centre backs in the premierleague. Of course he is going to say that, he manages the guy. Did i say that it must be true because Bilic said it?? NO!! I just wanted to mention it...

Saw an interview with Bilic last night about Croatias chances in the summer and about Modric. He said that he thinks that Modric is already one of the ten best midfielders in the world (AM) Damnit we missed out on him, still cant get over it, god i wish Spurs go down next season =)
