In my opinion, all he needs is a new club to kick-off from once again. He's not made it at Everton, and will never do. Both are a risk, but i'd rather go for the risk that is already proven in the Premiership. I agree about Beattie also, i have mentioned him before also. But i was thinking Carew on loan and put the money on defenders...

There are many LB's out there for not too much money that are alot better than baba... Because they aren't big name players they can still be good. I bet there is quite a few LB's in other leagues around that are not too expensive or well known to us... Im sure i have seen a few that would play alot better than Baba has for us (for what it's worth) What im trying to say here is that some players (especially players in the PL) are really overpriced and can only be signed for inflated (sp?) prices... I think you could get a lot more quality for money by signing players from abroad. Especially in the situation we are in now throwing out £6-7m on someone like Bale would just be insane imo... I wonder how many times i have been thinking through the years seing many other clubs sign good players for a really fair price and wondering why weren't we after him and him. We could save so much money having good scouts with great knowledge in the different leagues around europe...Getting the right players before others do get them, instead of buying them later for a price of 100 times more than they cost a couple of years ago..

Solano is waaayy better than Carr. Much better at reading the game. Solano has always been a smart player..Always known what to do in a situation before many other players Cannot compare the performances between them lately :winking:

You always expect the worse, especially away, You try make yourself prepared for disappointment. But every fucking time after a loss feels like shit anyway!!!!

Is the concept of looking things up on t'internet really so difficult to understand? It would help people to stop wild assumptions. Because Jankulovski is the defender who has played the most games for AC Milan so far this season. Maybe that is were the theory of getting him for 3-4m already falls into pieces... Same as for suggesting to go for van Buyten who only a couple of months ago went for 10.5m Euro to Bayern Munich. And people wonder why they get accused on making their suggestions based on computer games... FFS thats why i asked if Jankulovski has played alot this season because i have not followed Serie A closely this season. In earlier seasons where he's not been playing much at all hw wouldn't of been impossible to attract. And i dont think he would of cost a fortune at that time. And i dont play computer games :winking: Why didn't you read my post before laughing at my suggestion?

The way i see it is that there wont be too many players available in januari with quality for a fair price. And spending £7m+ on Baines or Bale (maybe not as much) and also go for a CB like Distin, Upson, Knight or whoever we have been linked with for quite a few millions (if there even is money for both positions?) Then i would rather go for Kovac for a much cheaper price and invest the money on more players instead and await the summer before making any expensive signings. We need many positions to strengthen. And that would improve our team/squad alot more than blowing all money on a expensive LB or CB. In the summer there is alot more players available and more time to plan which signings to go with. Sometimes you have to have some ice in the stomach, and not blow everything you have on the first best option. That may result in more success in the future. At least for a better summer when it comes to spending when you have some money left to play with Thats what been wrong for this club many times imo. Not looking more on the bigger picture of it. Making too many "impulsive" buys (is that what you call it in english?) Thats my opinion anyway
