I get that, I like that we are trying. Just hope that we aren’t too stubborn if it shows that we aren’t getting deals done. We just cannot be in a position when the window closes and be more or less empty handed. Hopefully things can change, but it must change rather quickly if we are to have any chance of doing enough in this massively important window.

I see a lot of people saying that we can’t take risks and that we have to get the “bullet proof” ones more or less, which agree to to an extent. Well, if we aren’t prepared to pay bigger fees and wages to get deals done then surely we have to look at more realistic options within our financial means? Sooner or later at least I mean. Otherwise it’s a bigger risk doing nothing isn’t it? Most of our targets by the sounds of it is players that there’s quite the hype around and that will automatically mean prices and wages being higher as well as there being competition from top clubs. I guess time will tell when the window closes.

Signing players is also important for us to be able to get the most out of our current players as well. Cannot underestimate the effect that this will have on our current players, especially mentality wise.

If we aren’t prepared to slightly overpay and meet the current market “value” prices are we instead just not going to sign players? It’s gonna hurt us more financially than actually spending slightly more to get deals done. Yes we might not afford to get as many players in as we should but 3 new players is better than one or two. We also need to take a punt on non proven PL players. Even if only to improve squad depth. I’m starting to get a bit stressed out about the situation. Time is running out quickly and I have next to no confidence of us getting things done, never mind quickly enough to get all that we need and should get in such a massively important window. We shouldn’t even be talking about what’s more of a priority between a striker and CB for example. Massive failure if we don’t get both, as well as a CM.

I think Isak might have taken the jump a bit too soon. Everybody likely to lose on this. Disappointing. Never trust a Swede.

I don’t think they’ll even bid for him. They are just waiting for us to contact them and say “ok you can have him for the 120m”. They are just playing it ugly and taking a punt on it. Below the belt if you ask me, but it’s the mighty Liverpool so they’re doing everything greatly and beautifully according to the wider audience. They have nothing to lose by trying to create turmoil at our club. They see us as a future threat. Fucking despise them. Isak will have his tail between his legs soon. Our team is full och characters and with the right mentality so I can see us doing well anyway. Obviously massively important that we start adding players asap. Despite how good Isak can be at times he’s only one player. Not bothered about him, we just need to sort ourselves out in the market. This team won’t quit on us.

Even if he ends up staying he won’t be match fit for the first month (at least). I don’t see him playing a single game during preseason.

I’m starting to think that Liverpool know they have next to no chance of signing him in this window. They won’t pay what it takes and are probably prepared to wait. They are just playing it ugly to unsettle him to hopefully take advantage next season for a much lower price.

Just waiting for the petition for people to sign that we should contact Liverpool and sell them Isak for 85m.
