Very very good finisher. They don’t grow on trees.

Get a CM purple please. We need competition and rotation of our best.
-
Wissa is better than Delap now.
-
If Isak leaves does Wissa hold up the #14 shirt and say “I’m the captain of this shirt now” ?
-
At least we have something to talk about now that is slightly more positive (for now ). Has to happen fast, we need this breakthrough again. Not too worried about us finding it easier to get a quality CM and CB in.

I’m happy with us signing him. Especially if it’s 30-35m. Should allow us to go big in other positions. Good player. Just don’t want us to spend say 45m on him.
-
If we sign Wissa and no other attacker then I hope we go big big for the rest. We can afford it.
-
If we were hijacker’s of an airplane we’d miss the flight.

We might struggle to offer 300k but I don’t see 250k as impossible. The biggest problem won’t be the wage imo, it will be getting him to wanting to sign a new deal to begin with. Never mind without a low clause. I don’t think we’ll do enough this summer to be able to convince him it’s the place to be. This summer window is so much more than just signing good players, it’s about sending the right signals to our current stars as well.

It’s also been so quiet lately. It’s already August next week Hopefully something out of the blue soon. Just doesn’t feel like it though, unfortunately.

I rate Wissa but we won’t pay what they’d want. Would be extremely surprised if this happens. Also, I don’t want us to spend too much on him ideally.

I think we really need 4 more. 3 is absolute bare minimum imo, if that one player less is us skipping a new GK. Personally I wouldn’t be surprised at all if we only get another 2 in unfortunately. My expectations are quite low now. And when the window opened I was already sceptical about us getting enough done. If I had known Longstaff was going when the window opened I would have said that we must sign 5 players, and it’s massively vital that we do it going into this season so we don’t fall short. Massive summer window this and so far it’s only Elanga. Hopefullly the momentum in this window changes for the better asap. Still time, but I’m not confident.

How long did he play for? Did he impress?

If Paul Mitchell was at fault regarding Isak’s contract (very much might been at fault), then why haven’t we tried to correct that? It’s not that long ago since the season ended. All the talk has been that there will be discussions about a new one after the season has ended and that Isak has been very relaxed about it. We might have tried, I don’t know. I just don’t think the biggest reason he hasn’t signed a new one is because of PM’s failings. I think it’s more about Isak maybe not wanting sign a new one (unless a relatively low RC). Or maybe he doesn’t believe in the project as much anymore. We’ve not done much recruitment wise to convince him that we are going places. Even further that is. Who knows.

Need to get it together asap off the pitch in more than one way. Potential failings and negative noise here and there and in public will have an effect on players. If you think otherwise I don’t know what to say. Players just like your normal average workers will sense and know when things aren’t quite right behind the scenes.

It’s much easier to blame the one that has left. I don’t think he’s been much involved for a few weeks now. Time to deliver.

Just signed a new 125m long term sponsorship deal with Turkish Hairlines.

Aye, actually getting players in. Now we’re like looking for houses in great areas and in high demand. Without the willingness or possibility to pay for it.

We won’t pay what they will demand.
