I need an oxygen mask. And it’s not for war. -

A signing like this most definitely would raise Isak’s eyebrows and many others regarding the “project”. Some statement of intent if this happens. -

Please tell me we aren’t cooking the food and lighting the candles only for Liverpool and Chelsea to have dinner with him? -

Think they could be quite fluid both of them. But yeah I see him as slightly more withdrawn as the creator. Coming more deep and starting the attacks allowing Isak to be further up more often. They can both do great things. I also like the idea of having another body in the box when we cross the ball in. He’s very decent in the air. -

Don’t see this happening but you can always dream.. His playing style would unlock so many possibilities. His game would pull the opposition defence out of their shape and create so much more space for Isak as well as our wide players and midfielders making runs into the box. He would give us so much more variety and x-factor and a closer option for our CM’s to feed progressive passes between the lines. He’s got everything more or less despite not being the finished article yet. -
Hopefully this appointment lasts longer than 5 minutes.

I’m annoyed at myself for thinking and wanting this to happen He would be so so perfect in so many ways for us. Would instantly up the level of our other players as well when you consider the extra space they will find. I need to stop now… -

I’m desperate for this happening even though I don’t allow myself to get carried away thinking it’s happening. Boy it would be a bold and exciting move. Nah, next.. -
I’m perfectly fine with us not necessarily signing players that are next level quality. Hopefully one or two of the signings can take us to the next level with the right coaching and a bit of luck depending on how they develop in our team. It’s all about solidifying our position in the league first and foremost. By that I mean competing on all fronts while still being strong enough to finish in back to back CL places. Once we cement our position in the top 4/5 and are in the CL consistently that’s when we can go for more quality than quantity. There will obviously always be ups and downs. We are still in the very early part of our “rebuild” since the takeover. We have already achieved a lot in a very short time. We just need to get the recruitment right. As we all know it’s not just about spending big to succeed.

Gallagher doesn’t evolve our midfield but what he does is that he solidifies our strength in midfield on the whole. Over a season he will allow us to be strong in the midfield area consistently. When rotation is needed to rest players and keep them fresh, or when there’s injuries/suspensions we will be able to maintain a higher level throughout the season. I would say that he doesn’t necessarily raise the ceiling, but the floor or however it goes. This is very much needed with all the extra games. If we fix most of our weaknesses in the team and squad in this summer window then after that we can more easily add more players that takes us to the next level. That’s when we don’t need to sign as many in one go. Now it’s more about balance, that is both strengthening as well as getting better depth. Unfortunately we can’t just sign players that evolves us.
-
Not my ideal choice but if we could get him for as cheap as say 35m then he would be a very good addition to the squad. Especially when you consider how much more reliable and better he is than Willock and Longstaff. Most didn’t want him from Chelsea was mostly because of the fee. Also we kind of have to prioritise where we put all our money considering how many holes we have to fill in total. Gallagher is so so much better than nothing, or most options for similar price. I can see him improving under Howe as well because I reckon he will work well tactically in our team.
-
Apparently the delay is that they want him running in one of the sequences and the club don’t have any large aperture lenses to use indoors to collect enough light for such a fast shutter speed. They don’t want any noise in the footage they say.
-
Feel like if this is to happen then it most likely will have to happen quite quickly.
-
Despite his injuries he sure would be a very exciting signing. Absolutely massive ceiling potentially as well.
-
It gets announced when it does Don’t see it happening until tomorrow at the very earliest. Probably even later knowing us.

Just the thought of us refusing to sell Isak while also signing one of the best striker options out there in Ekitike Now that would be a statement (can only dream right). Hypothetically speaking I’d rather have Ekitike than Gyokeres or Sesko. -
It’s like being very attracted to an amazingly sexy woman with an annoying personality. It’s ok.
-
I know it’s not happening and that it’s not as simple. But go for a cheaper highly rated CB like Leoni instead of Guehi and then go for Ekitike instead of Joao Pedro and it might be around the same money. Reallly like and rate Ekitike highly. Probably a pipe dream but never say never. Has so much to his game.
-
What do you reckon is his best position? Central or out wide? I think the best I’ve seen him play has been on the right. But could also be coincidences.
-
I hope we will try again and go for a player similar to JP who can play between the lines. That variety and link between midfield and attack would give our wide players as well as Isak much more space I reckon.
-
Im also biased to a degree like 99% on here are.
-
I’m very optimistic about us and what we are doing overall If you dontt think you’re extremely biased regarding just about everything then let’s just leave it at that. It’s good that you’re being “optimistic”.
