    NUFC Transfer Rumours

I remember being outraged 2 years ago, and I'm outraged all over again 2 years later.
  2. Regardless of how much this means to our season - fuck all in reality - Howe desperately needs another win just to get everyone onside again for next season.
  3. Cole always struck me as a London lad at heart. Even Man U didn't really look like home for him. Nowt wrong with that of course, but it's a bit different to some players who basically fall in love with Newcastle.
  4. Despite what people say, I don't see Howe walking away either. It's a lot of money, and not sure if him walking would mean his staff would lose their pay offs as well.
  5. Personally I feel like PIF have took their foot off the pedal ever since the PSR hit which led to Staveley and Mehrdad leaving. Howe staying is the easier option, the club seems to be running on "steady as she goes" lines now. I doubt there will be too much upheaval unless we have a disastrous start to the campaign next time round.
  6. I've seen a couple of his videos recently, his tactical breakdowns are not bad.
  7. That stadium means they earn shitloads more than us even when they are fighting relegation and we are qualifying for the UCL. If they stay up they will be able to blow us out of the water when it comes for competing for top signings.

    Harvey Barnes

If we got an offer of close to what we paid for him, then the only way we can grow is supposedly sell players at peak value.
  9. It's not just to laugh at Spurs though. They will be big competition for us for the next few years, they will be after the same players, going for CL qualification etc. Would be much better for us if they are relegated. That said, I don't think it will happen so I would still rather see us win on Sunday. But if we don't at least there's an upside.

Not the sole reason, it's a team game, but he was a significant part of it. I mean I assume you agree.
  11. It sounds like bollocks tbh.
  12. Yep that's it. Thanks for providing the source.
  13. I doubt it, that's just something that stuck in my mind. But along those lines.
  14. I don't think the players enjoy going round the stadium after a loss away from home, but they still do it. This falls into the same bracket for me. I don't expect everyone shares that opinion, but that's my personal take.
  15. A few weeks back in a press conference before a game. Can't remember exactly which one but there will be a record of it somewhere I'm sure.

Thought exactly that at the time.
  17. Last day of the season at home is always the chance to show you appreciate the efforts even if not everyone was good enough. We played shit against Everton last time round although in the end we still got UCL so everyone was on a high regardless. I won't be there this time round, but if I was I would still want to clap them off. Just feels petty not to do it unless you think they've been purposely playing badly rather than just not being up to it.
  18. Just highlighted how many of our other players can't shoot for shit.
  19. Well we are playing at home, so we could just win regardless of what happens in the Spurs match.
  20. Howe did say that he was happy to follow a new blueprint of buying promise instead of proven ability, but that expectations would have to align with that. I think that's fair, but we have already spent a shitload on that squad, so if he's staying he will still be expected to finish in European qualification positions, so not sure the expectation will be THAT different tbh.
  21. If there's nothing to play for by Sunday evening we might perform better. Or worse. Fuck knows tbh.

Ultimately it cost us two points though, so what difference does it make if he played well mostly?
  23. The problem is, buying the sort of players who take you to the next level costs SCR busting funds. The teams who have been humiliating us with their superior football tend to have the best players.
