He could possibly turn it around if we unearthed another Isak. Even last season we struggled badly whenever Isak was out, so I think his style is highly dependent on a world class striker who can get in behind the defence. Realistically I don't think we can get one this summer, and I don't think he can get Wolt to work with his system. For me the jury is still out on whether Wolt will work at all in the PL, but he's never going to do it playing the way we do currently, and I don't think Eddie knows any other way of playing.

We should play all the lads who want away in this one assuming they are fit. Gordon, Tonali etc will want to put on a good show for the cameras, so we might see a performance. Livramento is obviously out though. I think a combination of all the pressure being on them, and none being on us will see an upturn in performance. Could be perfect for a spoiler result.

The truth is there are only a select few who should command really big fees. Our problem last summer was that we paid them for players we could have bought for half the price. You can't look at Bournemouth and Brentford and argue our players look better than theirs despite us chucking millions upon millions at the squad.

Chelsea have been too successful in recent times to lose all of that with one bad season. But follow it with another one, and there's every chance they go back to being another secondary club outside of the cartel.
