    Our identity

This has been my position. I enjoyed the "intensity is our identity" mantra while we were at our peak a couple of seasons ago, but when you start complaining about fatigue and schedules, then you need to find a different way of managing it. We've not done that very well IMO.

    Anthony Elanga

City paid £20m for Savinho but they probably scouted him and bought him a lot earlier in the cycle. When Elanga moved to Forest for £15m, that was the time to move for him, if we were ever going to. We paid peak value on someone who had already failed at a big club.

Think that's been true for the strikers for a while tbh, felt the same about Osula in the games he started.

    NUFC Transfer Rumours

I think it's probably lazy journalism, but you can sort of understand it, Eddie does tend to go in long term on players he admires.
  5. Playing in Europe every season for me. Doesn't have to be the CL, I think we are punching above our weight to get that. But we should be finishing top 6/7 every season now, and we have to be in Europe to attract players and keep the ones we've got. One season in, one season out, just means players abandoning ship because they see the growth is stalling.
  6. And we won't even be a plucky contender without these owners. The structure of SCR is designed to keep clubs in their current lanes. PIF may or may not contribute their own funds to grow us. Alternative owners almost certainly won't.
  7. It was an embarrassment tbh. City looked like they were 3 divisions better than us.

    Anthony Elanga

Yep. I thought he was decent at the start, but then he just got progressively worse. Mind it didn't really improve much when he went off either.
  9. I know they are a lot better than us, but it's only us who seem to make them look like supermen. It feels like Marmoush has scored all of his goals against us in about 3 matches.
  10. Has Marmoush scored any goals against anyone else?
  11. That quick transition led directly to our goal.
  12. He's passed it to them a couple of times trying to release the ball fast, and it got us a goal tbf. He's also saved us a few times by tearing back and closing down the spaces. Think he's been crucial for us tbh.

Still think there's a good forward in there, but not sure we are the side to bring that out.

Yeah I don't really blame him for it tbh.

    Anthony Elanga

He's been lively for me, first 15 mins especially. Khusanov is quick though, wish we had been able to complete that move when it was lined up.
  16. On the plus side, everyone else has put a decent shift in.
  17. Happy enough with 1-1 tbh. We were great for 25 mins but we've run out of steam. Need a proper midfielder on for Wolt.

He's not a midfielder. Getting totally wiped out in there.
  19. We need to be in Europe every year if we have expectations to be considered a big club as far as I'm concerned. Pretty hard to justify a big squad if you are playing once a week.

Agree. Normally I don't like to diminish the Premier and I prefer big clubs in there, so Wolves, Leeds etc belong there for me. But they are rivals and Levy is very cut throat, so for our own health I have to vote they go down. It still pisses me off today that they ended up winning a cup and getting CL football after that disaster of a season they had last time round.
  21. Well at least we won't have that problem next season.
  22. We do need a player who can pick the ball up and drive the ball forward through the centre of midfield. Joelinton was doing it against Man U and it made all the difference. Whether Elliott would be that player I don't know. I think he did have that skillset but never really saw it for us, and at Forest I haven't really followed his career as much. In the games I saw he seemed to have a lot more time and space on the ball than he got here.
  23. He'd probably end up wide left again if he was.
