This is what I hope for every single week but Pardew blatantly won't. The only ways for Taylor to stop starting games involve: - Coloccini coming back from injury - Taylor getting injured/suspended Pardew's favouritism strikes again.

They need a manager that will employ tactics other than 'lob as many balls as possible into the box from wide areas and hope for the best'. Their squad is ageing and most of the "first teamers" are showing their age. It's all very well to have some experience in there but they need some sort of fresh faces in every area of the pitch, especially defence. Rooney doesn't really want to be there and they can't count on Van Persie all the time. Their fringe players are also inconsistent as f***. The fact that they're counting on an ageing Carrick to sit in midfield and provide the "vital" ball speaks volumes. Having said that, I do agree on Moyes' questionable tactics.

All credit to the Scousers for yesterday's exploits. Pretty much a sign that they're not out of the title race just yet (hope to fuck they falter away mind, the last thing we need are their fans becoming big headed again...).

Yesterday's game went exactly as I thought it would go. Sammy was pretty much our best player, our better players (the likes of Ben Arfa, Sissoko etc.) didn't particularly step up. Chelsea didn't really hit top gear either so it was a standard "better team beating smaller team rather comfortably" game. Ah well, at least I had some good company before and after the game (had too much to drink I think, the train journey back was rather unpleasant haha).
