Has it been reported that Smith has agreed terms?
-
Nope, Jags. Medical must be over, as there are a couple of blokes in NUFC tops walking down Moor Crescent at the mo. Probably scouting for cheap digs. What a day, it must go down in history as one of the bestest.
-
Excellent, when did you see them?
-
The Doritos was a smoke screen, throw in an error then deny everything on the strength of that.
-
Does it not occur to you that maybe a club that has just finished the season in 13th and has no European football to offer might be down the list of clubs that some players might want to play for?
-
He did seem to know too much about what the lad was up to, you could have a point.
-
I've just read it again and will give you that one, (disclaimer) even if it is nit picking.

I know the difference between "meeting" and "a meeting", having a meeting is a good way of communicating without things getting in the way, it doesn't have to, but could include concerns.
-
The "so what" was because if Allardyce and Mort have a meeting it shouldn't be seen as anything but normal, it's no big deal for them to meet. The media just love to stir up shit and make it look as if they know something, more often than not they'll know no more, or even less than people on here.

I knew you were replying to Baggio, it doesn't make any difference, if we only replied to somebody who was replying to us then we'd never post as we'd never get past the first post of any thread as the original wouldn't be in reply to anybody so nobody could reply to that.

We don't need plans, some actually think that's true. If we can put the clubs problems right fast then we should but as long as we are making progress and moving forwards then I'm happy, sometimes you can try to go far too fast and you just end up making mistakes, we've done that. We need to get everything right from top to bottom and then we really will start moving in the right direction. I can only think that people who don't think we need to work with plans have never been in business and don't know what they're talking about. I agree that Allardyce hasn't helped with his comments but I'm quite happy that Mort can deliver and that both men will work well together once they've worked each other out.

They did meet according to the media, so what? I meet my boss every single day of my working life unless one of us is on holiday.

We don't really need to hear from Ashley as Mort knows more about the club than him, it would be good to see Ashley at the match though as that would be a sign that he's interested in the same things as we are and not just the money. His attendance or non-attendance will send a message, if he doesn't go then it's an investment, if he does go then it could be out of interest in the footballing side.

That's exactly how I feel, when he talks you get some sense out of him which isn't something we've had for a while, I keep saying it but it is refreshing. Everything he's said is what I would have wanted/expected him to say if he was doing the job right. I think he's making a mistake if he doesn't move his family up here but he'll learn that one for himself. It will help him at first as he can bang the hours in without having to rush home to a wife but after a while he'll not need to work 24/7 and that's when he'll get pissed off. Having said that, it wouldn't hurt his pocket too much if he got the first plane up here on a morning and the last plane back down on a night, it's only 40 minutes to Heathrow from Newcastle.

I read something yesterday, it was an article from months ago which said an English millionaire businessman was rumoured to be interested in us, I wish I'd posted a link.
-
I find it incredible that somebody could spend so much money without taking a couple of hours on the internet researching the club.
-
Smith wouldn't be my first choice but he will give us something different, sometimes you can play brilliant football and for some reason it just doesn't happen for you, at least Smith will give us a bit of a battering ram to unsettle the opposition defence, I quite liked him when he was at Leeds but don't think he's really developed that much at Man U. If we get him then I'll reserve judgement on him and see how we play him and how he does.
-
It has been shit because people were probably expecting too much after the sale of the club, add to that a lack of information from the club and shit stirring in the press, some people seemed unable to cope with it.
-
Shit, that's a step too far, he's a minger.
-
I think it's the time of year, mainly the transfer window.
-
Is this the start of ugly football?
-
That was an injury swelling up.
-
I was just taking the piss.

It'll be Smith, great news, I've always wanted to see him here.
