  1. Don't try and work Roeder out, he just wasn't up to the job.
  2. I went to an away game by train years ago and we had to come back through what seemed like a very long tunnel, our fans pulled the cord every time the train got going, I don't know how long the tunnel was but it seemed to take about 30 minutes to get through it because of all of the emergency stops.
  3. On his day Dyer can be as good as any player in the Premiership, his problem is that he doesn't do it often enough. I don't think he'll ever be somebody we can rely on to perform on a regular basis because he seems to raise his game then go into the comfort zone when he can't be arsed, maybe Allardyce can get the best out of him, maybe not. If he leaves for non-footballing reasons then we've done Allardyce no favours as we could be losing a very good player if he could play at the level we know he's capable of doing but on a regular basis. Dyer has been an idiot at times but he's matured and seems to have got his head together, he just needs to get his game together.
  4. The Geremi transfer looks even better tonight, I think he'll do a good job in midfield, I wanted us to get him when he left Boro.
  5. I agree with those who say we can't afford to let anybody else go before we get players in, to those who abuse our own players before during or after a pre-season friendly, morons.
  6. It's something to do with the post count not working.
  7. So would anybody putting money on that bet.
  8. I can't understand why a manager should ignore any player and I can't understand why a manager would be allowed to get away with leaving a player to stagnate while being paid a fortune. If I employed somebody on behalf of my employer and paid him to sit at home while doing nothing to earn his wage I'd probably get sacked.
  9. I would have thought that if he was looking good it would have something to do with his level of performance.
  10. If Allardyce can get him playing well then it would be a bonus, it's a big ask at this stage of his career. We'll be paying for his wages anyway so it would make sense to try and get something back for the money.
  11. It's good that he's employing professional people and listening to them, unlike the arse who brought Luque here in the first place, the same arse that sent Taylor back out without having his shoulder reapired the way the England team doctors thought it should be repaired.
  12. I will knock you out instantly if it turns true! Can we take it for granted that you'd be against him?
  13. Count up the minutes played for Real and see how many games it works out as, I don't know the amount but I bet it doesn't add up to 30.
  14. Why do you think we'll have a very good chance of dropping into the third considering it's never happened in our history? The second is always a possibility because one bad decision on a managerrial appointment and everything could go tits up. As for going bankrupt, I can't see that happening although the Premiership bubble will burst one day, the only way that would happen would be to get players on stupid contracts both in length and size of wage and having to carry that when the bubble does burst, even then we'd have to be a bit stupid to lose the money which Ashley can get his hands on because he'd have to go bankrupt for us to do that.
  15. Try work, living hundreds of miles away and midweek friendly.
  16. Edit it yourself next time Have I missed something?
  17. I can't see a single former manager in that reply. I don't even have to look for a bite from you these days, a simple question out of interest and you're straight on the defensive.
  18. Possibly because he's been mentioned as it's rumoured to be him, that and him being a class defender.
  19. Name these "far worse" managers than Souness that that we've had. Name me one manager who has taken over the club, spent so much money or an equivalent amount and taken us so far backwards. Edit, probably only Richard Dinnis far taking us backwards.
  20. I'm not surprised about that in the slightest, nothing is proven either way about Ashley but we're going to find out so you may as well try to enjoy it, I'm sure we'll be finishing higher than 13th so at least it should be better than 2 of the last 3 seasons.
  21. He's gone to Germany to get his groin sorted, I hope it goes the way it did for Shearer and not Carr.
  22. Lahm wasn't at his best but he was probably still recovering from his cruciate injury which will take time to get over. He'd be my first choice even if it was taking a chance because of his form since injury.
  23. What you've said is true but that's no good when he's sitting in the stands, Woodgate was the same. The best defender I've ever seen at Newcastle but totally useless when not fit.
