Roeder hasn't brung us down to this level, we were heading this way before he came, he's just maintained that direction. Robson didn't sack himself, Souness and Roeder didn't appoint themselves. Roeder is a part of the problem but he shouldn't have been given the job in the first place, very few people thought he was the right choice.

I think he would have been daft enough to appoint him, the only difference would have been that people might have seen this season as an improvement over last.

proper supporters support the team of the place where they come from. Not true, some proper supporters support teams because of family members, my kids were always going to support Newcastle, regardless of where they were born. My nephew was born in the midlands but didn’t have a choice in the matter, he was born black & white, we made sure of that.

Quite a few hardly played because of injuries, the squad were probably better on paper but they were still crap on the pitch. Bobby had to get rid of quite a few before he could spend too much.
