I don't doubt that.

Do you not think that is part of the problem? Do you not think we might be bleeding money out of the club at an alarming rate and can't get a better manager because of that?
-
Shit, my blood vessels have just ballooned, again. We know what his opinion is going to be regarding the changes, we also know that his decision didn't pay off, partly because of who he took off.

Freddy doesn't sack face to face any more, he does it by text, at least I think that's how Souness found out. blueyes.gif

I don't agree with that, I really think a better manager would have got more out of the players than Roeder has been able to get most of the time.
-
I didn't say that you had broke any.
-
please ban this junkhead Yup, he just crossed the line. No excuse for that irregardless of what Roeder does. He hasn't broken any rules from what I can see, unlike some.

please ban this junkhead Woops

That's a bit of a cheap shot at Carr, it's taken 1000's of hours to coach that into him I'll have you know.
-
If he had of said it I can assure you that I would have had the full text and URL tattooed on my chest for future reference. I doubt I'd have missed that one.

With Roeder as manager ? Highly possible. Whats your solution then genius? Sack him now? And then what? Pretty obvious I would have thought. Joyce, Pearson, and Solano can navigate us through to the end of the season with the help of the ubiquitous honeymoon. Meenwhile we actively negotiate with the best managerial talent accross Europe with a view to making a permanent appointment, once the appropriate candidate is freed from his current commitments. Rather delightfully the proccess would not involve Shepherd, as he said that he would step down if he go the last decision (Roeder) wrong. been waiting all night for one of the Roeder kneejerkers to remember this little gem try as I might, I can't find the b****** quote or I would have posted it ages ago I don't think Shepherd ever said that, he said that the next appointment was the most important decision that he'd ever made or words to that effect.

11 months?

They were fine defensively, but going forward Carr and Babayaro were as poor as the rest of them imo. Carr couldn't hit a cows arse with a bango.

I'd rather be a struggling bottom half club with a chance of winning the FA Cup and can offer Premiership football to prospective players or managers than a poxy s*** club who can't fill their stadium and playing the likes of Derby and Preston week in week out You honestly think it would be that easy to come back up? anyone who disagrees, sort your f****** lives out If we don't get relegated then we will play Derby, maybe you both want the same thing.

Last time I'd want to, it's uncomfortable sleeping locked up in the bathroom all night.
-
I'll go along with that, you seem to know what you're on about.
-
I wouldn't, I've seen it too many times and although I argue with NE5 about the state of the cub, I wouldn't want to go through that again, that's why I want rid of Shepherd in the first place, to halt the slide.

Spot on. This is the most disillusioned I've felt for a long time. Worse than I felt when Souness was dragging us backwards at an alarming rate. At least under Souness there was the feeling that 'at least one day he'll go and that'll lift everyone' but to see Shepherd give Roeder the job sickened me. This time around there's just no light at the end of the tunnel, the chairman messed it up with Souness, messed it up with Roeder and he'll do it again. While Shepherd's around we will always have a dodgy managerial setup, poor scouting and a cheap defence. We're not even in a position to buy ourselves out of this shit, we can only hope that Owen comes back fit and ready for next season to paper over the cracks that are Newcastle United. We're financially shagged so need to do something about that or we will be the next Leeds, we're heading in that direction. Season ticket sales are going to cause some ripples in the boardroom this year. Did Shepherd say something like the next managerial appointment was his most important just before he was put under pressure by the mountain of text messages from the fans to appoint Roeder, well Freddy, you f**ked up again.
-
My biggest frustration is that we have no way of turning this around, it looks like we will get more of the same.
-
It's not worse, Roeder hasn't squandered the crown jewells in the way Souness did although our published financial figures probably make the job even less of an attraction. While this is undoubtably so, the cause of Newcastle's fall from grace is not so much Souness or Roeder, but the fat fool that gave them the chance to do their damage. I can't disagree with that, sadly.

A slim chance is probably closer to the truth.

this is worse. when souness was in charge we lost but looked like we could score a few It's not worse, it's just as bad, the only worse thing about it is that we probably have less faith in getting a better replacement.
